Floor screed additive suitable for permanently wet areas, as water impervious. For internal and external use.
Can be used as a wearing screed, and holds full third party certification.
Retanol XT
Key performance benefits:
Retanol XT dosage per screed pump mix
When using a 250 litres standard screed pump vessel, a minimum of 2 bags i.e. 50 kg of cement is required for the mix designs stated below.
Dosage (5 pump fillings are assumed at 200 litres each, amounting to 1 m³).
The importance of good quality sharp screeding sand with a well distributed grading curve.
The importance of the sand “grading curve” cannot be understated when mixing any semi dry cementitious screed.
The grading curve shows the particle sizes of the sand/gravel used in the mixing process, and a favourable grain distribution is crucial is creating the perfect screed.
In the UK, we generally work to a 0-4 mm grading curve which means the diameter of the grain sizes will vary from 0 to 4 mm.
In order to create a solid support framework for Retanol screed, the ratio between fine sand and coarser sand in the grading curve should be between 60% to 70% fines (which means a nice consistent spread of 0 to 2 mm grains) and 30% to 40% coarser sand (which means a nice consistent spread of grains with a diameter of >2 mm to 4 mm).
