OVERVIEW

Shelbourne Hotel, one of the top hotels in the heart of Dublin City, is a six-storey building. The Main Lobby fireplace has an open fire, serviced by a brick chamber, the brick had deteriorated and needed replacing. Action Chimneys were given two days to complete the job in this working high-profile hotel. Installing FuranFLEX-25 RWV proved the best solution being quick, clean and, due to its thermosetting technology, most suitable to maximise flue dimensions for efficient fire performance. We were also contracted by the same hotel, later to do a second installation in the Lord Mayor’s Lounge.
