Hammersmith Gyratory, ASF Bespoke Stainless Steel Guardrail

ASF were approached to manufacture bespoke stainless steel guardrails for Hammersmith Gyratory. For this project drawings were supplied by the client to work from, although these drawings were design intent rather than working drafts.

ASF re-drew to a full working draft, 3D modelled and produced a set of GA drawings for approval.

Once approved the guardrails were manufactured.

Posts were manufactured form 101mm diameter, grade 316 stainless steel and topped with a machined cap with a shallow coned top and deep decorative recess. Rails were from 60mm diameter grade 316 tube. Posts and rails were polished to a high 2k finish and the capes were left machine finished.

The finished product is a very stylish and heavy duty, low maintenance guardrail.
