OVERVIEW

This 72m² Series 2 structural platform was designed and installed to support the placement of two double VRV condenser units. To address potential noise concerns and comply with local acoustic regulations, 2-metre-high Soundshield acoustic screens were installed on all four sides of the platform. These high-performance barriers effectively mitigate sound transmission to surrounding areas, contributing to a quieter environment for nearby occupants. An integrated access door was also included in the acoustic screening design to allow safe and convenient entry for maintenance personnel. The entire assembly demonstrates a balanced approach to functionality, compliance, and occupant comfort, making it a key component of the project’s success.

Installation

The installation process was completed over the course of two days by a dedicated three-person team. The system was highly straightforward and efficiently assembled, with all components fitting seamlessly together due to the whole system being prefabricates in our factory in Leeds. The installation proceeded smoothly without any issues, and there was no leftover material or wasted product, ensuring both optimal resource utilization and a streamlined setup.

Design

The platform was engineered to accommodate the significant weight and spatial requirements of the equipment, ensuring long-term structural stability and ease of maintenance access. The minimalist yet visually striking design developed by our in-house team, blended simplicity with sophisticated aesthetic appeal. The design not only adhered to all specified roof requirements but also successfully addressed acoustic considerations, resulting in a solution that met both functional and aesthetic goals.
