Smart Glass Tech was contracted to manufacture the PriWatt switchable privacy smart glass for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Halton Healthcare in Georgetown, Canada.

The goal was to enhance patient privacy, increase natural light, improve room availability control, and advance hygiene and infection control.

Privacy is crucial in a hospital environment, but it can often hinder the medical staff’s ability to quickly assess patient conditions.

With PriWatt Smart Glass technology, the glass can switch from transparent to opaque with the flick of a switch, ensuring patient privacy without compromising efficiency and visibility.
