OVERVIEW

AFL Architects wanted design consistency across the separate psychiatric intensive care unit and adult inpatient rehabilitation wards in this new Mental Health facility, in Leigh, Wigan. Our electronic locksets were used across the wards, offering superior safety for staff and service users – as the only electronic locksets with Staff Override System, staff can always gain access in an emergency. And offering service users control over their own living space by issuing a harmless key fob also met the trust's requirements of promoting service user independence and restoring dignity.
