Decking - Cambridge Botanical Gardens

OVERVIEW

Gripsure non-slip decking made from accoya® wood was specified for the Rising Path at Cambridge University’s Botanic Garden. The 65m long spiral structure leads visitors to a viewing platform overlooking the Garden’s Systematic Beds. To ensure safe access all year round the walkway and stairs needed to be slip-resistant. Over 1,300 linear metres of Gripsure non-slip accoya decking was supplied. Custom typographic non-slip decking boards were supplied for landing points along the walkway. The boards needed to provide a visual contrast to the main decking as well as display information for visitors.
