OVERVIEW

The Cathedral’s Grade II listing represents its importance as an example of an ecclesiastical building which has grown in stages. It was of major importance in design and selection of materials that the new build retained these principles, which is why the architects Purcell chose Wienerberger's Porotherm Cellular Clay Block - PTH100 for the construction of the cathedral.
