OVERVIEW
ASF were challenged to design and manufacture and illuminated balustrade system, using a traditional cast iron post for a pontoon road / pedestrian dual usage crossing at the Lough Erne Resort.
ASF worked alongside our bespoke lighting manufacturer, Transit, to utilise their superb Quicksert LED luminaire in a manner that to all our knowledge had never been done before.
As part of WB White Foundry with our own pattern making team, we adapted the pattern so it would accept a hosting unit that houses two Quicksert units at exactly the right degree of angle to meet all the task lighting requirements.
The outcome is a traditional cast iron balustrade that uses the latest in lighting technology to elevate it to a whole new application.
All ASF's lighting can be set up to meet any task or architectural need, as well as creating dark corridors to reduce wildlife interactions.
