Cottrell & Vermeulen Architects specified Marley Western Red Cedar Shingles in order to complement the surroundings. They recognised the excellent aesthetic qualities, along with providing a low maintenance building with a high level of thermal insulation, whilst also meeting the planning authorities requirements of keeping the building sympathetic to the historic church on the same site.
