This historic landmark required revitalising to enhance its appearance whilst maximising floor space within the existing retained Grade 2 listed facade. This project required a flexible yet robust structural waterproofing design supported by the appropriate warranties. FIS were able to provide a strategy within the budget constraints exceeding the clients requirements whilst ensuring practicability of installation. The waterproof layer beneath the basement slab incorporated a combination of a bentonite membrane and a cementitous coating to the top of the piles caps providing full protection.
