Description

HiRib™ 680 Non-Cyclonic is a deep troughed roofing and walling profile manufactured from high-tensile steel. Some of its features include:

  • Ability to be fixed down to a one degree pitch.
  • Larger spans at a minimum cost.
  • Safer walking between ribs for maintenance purposes.
  • Highly affordable and with fewer fasteners required.
  • Available in a range of colours and finishes.

To address thermal expansion and contraction, the recommended maximum sheet length is 24 m. Where lengths exceed 24 m, step joints or concealed decks are recommended.

Manufacturer guidance

Refers to maximum allowable spans. These vary depending on profile thickness and span type. Maximum spans are as follows:

  • 0.42 and 0.48 mm BMT roofing: 1850 – 3000 mm.
  • 0.42 and 0.48 mm BMT walling: 2250 – 3000 mm.

When insulation thickness up to 50 mm are installed, screws may need to be increased in number depending on insulation thickness and density.
