Classified in the highest anti-slip class R13 according to DIN 51130 and complies with R60 fire regulations. Upwards punched holes and downwards drain holes ensure drainage of liquids so that the surface is dry and non-slip. The rolled flanges provides the stair tread a high load capacity, while protecting footwear and sharp edges are avoided. The tread comes with bolt holes in end pieces for mounting on the stringers.

Cellar, Basement, Soil and Sewer Vent
Cast Iron Air Brick Company
Cast iron stand alone vent, used for centuries in properties around the country and now very much in vogue. This charming vent has two functions, either to connect to the stack of a sewar pipe to prevent loss of water traps when WC are flushed or to allow air down into cellars and basements.
The sewar vent function prevents smells escaping from sewars by an ingeneous and simple non return brass flap fitted onto the removable front panel. For basement and cellar ventilation this flap is replaced with mesh to allow a flow of air in either direction.
Both options use the same cast iron cellar/soil vent body with 4" (100mm) spigot and are available with aluminium or brass front plates.

FM1 fire curtain

A fire curtain is used where, if there is a fire, it is necessary to create a temporary barrier within an opening which seals off the area on fire. The curtain descends and prevents any fire and smoke from spreading from one area to another. It also allows people access to protected escape routes without any loss of fire resistance.
A FM-1 fire curtain comprises a flexible fire-resistant fabric which is wound around a circular tube. Upon receiving a signal from the fire alarm system or on loss of power the curtain automatically unwinds to its operational position.
FM-1 fire curtains have been tested as fire barriers in accordance with EN 1634-1, providing protection for a defined period and at a defined maximum temperature.

Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs) or AOV Smoke Vents are designed to automatically extract smoke in the event of a fire. This range of Smoke vents fully opens in less than 60 seconds which creates a draught to ventilate smoke out of the building. When a fire is detected in the building either by smoke detectors, heat detectors or the fire alarm the AOV Smoke Vent receives a signal to open. The open vent creates an escape route for smoke and hot gases which helps stop smoke accumulating and spreading through the building. Smoke vents can be controlled manually by fire fighters which allows them to help control and extinguish building fires.

BS 4592 - 0 recommends a max deflection of 4mm with a concentrated load of 1.5KN/200x200mm contact areas based on edge of grating, BS EN 1991-1-1: 2002 Category C38 for Heavy duty (high density pedestrian traffic including escape routes) recommends a concentrated load of 4.5KN. Whilst the contact area is not defined in the standard and is to be determined by the use and criteria; we have based the chart on a 300x300mm edge of grating as a general guide that also ensures compliance with the

The Step on Safety range of Fibreglass Access Ladders are manufactured from Glass Reinforced Plastic Pultruded structural sections, which when compared on a weight for weight basis, are far stronger than their metal equivalents. Composite ladders are ideally suited for installation in corrosive environments, such as those found in water, waste, marine and chemical industries.
All composite ladders and safety cages are manufactured in-house, in dimensional accordance with BS 4211, and BS 5395 (Stairs, Ladders and Walkways).
All ladders are typically 500mm wide overall, with rungs 400mm wide. Other bespoke sizes are available to suit individual site requirements upon request.
