The Newton PAC-500 System is combined 'Type C' (BS 8102:2022) cavity drain waterproofing and ground gas mitigation system, developed by Newton Waterproofing Systems and Prestige Air Ltd. The addition of the PAC Positive Air Curtain to the Cavity Drain Waterproofing provides protection against water, gasses and hydrocarbon vapours from the ground within a single internally applied system.
This system provides basement waterproofing across all environmental grades (Grade 1-3) in accordance with BS 8102:2022, as well as a ground has mitigation system that is integrity tested with tracer gas to confirm viability.

This product also performs the additional function of an air-leakage barrier, to prevent losses due to unwanted convection flows. We advise the use of Novia butyl and metallised BOPP tapes to ensure a complete barrier integrity throughout the entire life of the product. Novia 1200 VCL should be used in combination with Novia breather membranes to provide an air-tight and vapour resistant system.
Novia 1200 VCL is fully CPR compliant and is CE Approved to EN 13984:2013.

Ventilation systems for car parks, loading bays and service areas are needed to achieve two objectives. Day-to-day ventilation is needed to control build-up of vehicle exhaust fumes or spilled fuel. Acceptable day-to-day air quality is maintained by removing exhaust gases produced by vehicles and by ensuring that there are no pockets of stagnant air. Smoke ventilation is needed to provide a means of clearing smoke from the car park during and after a fire. This will limit smoke temperatures and structural damage and inhibit smoke spread between floors.
