Whilst being the most economical rainscreen solution, requiring discreet fixings in the vertical panel recess, the engineering of the system retains the benefits of a drained and ventilated façade. Superior manufacturing techniques ensure there will be no build-up of metal thicknesses at the cruciform joint. The system has been independently tested and certified to meet CWCT rigorous specification for rainscreen cladding. This drained and ventilated system consists of a baffle-jointed series of panels that creates a weather shield in front of a primary structure. The Newton PAC-500 System is combined 'Type C' (BS 8102:2022) cavity drain waterproofing and ground gas mitigation system, developed by Newton Waterproofing Systems and Prestige Air Ltd. The addition of the PAC Positive Air Curtain to the Cavity Drain Waterproofing provides protection against water, gasses and hydrocarbon vapours from the ground within a single internally applied system.

Novia 1200 Gauge Polythene Vapour Control Layer

Novia 1200 VCL is a high specification, blown polythene material, suitable for use as a vapour control layer within the walls of frame constructions, or where control of the passage of water vapour is required.
This product also performs the additional function of an air-leakage barrier, to prevent losses due to unwanted convection flows. We advise the use of Novia butyl and metallised BOPP tapes to ensure a complete barrier integrity throughout the entire life of the product. Novia 1200 VCL should be used in combination with Novia breather membranes to provide an air-tight and vapour resistant system.
Novia 1200 VCL is fully CPR compliant and is CE Approved to EN 13984:2013.
