The conservation vent has been instrumental in improving extractor efficiency as installers have been able to extract close to where the fan is positioned whereas in the past theyve ducted metres and metres of flexi pipe to terminate on a back wall to comply with building consent.
It can also be used as an interior vent to allow air in for combustion especially with regards to stoves.

The air brick is constructed from grey cast iron and is used for supplying natural ventilation to interior rooms and also as an extractor outlet vent grille over core drilled duct holes. In this instance the louvre air bricks are used as the terminal grille for fans extracting air from living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms,WCs and hob extractors.

The ventilator should be placed to ensure the airflow from the soffit area is not restricted by the roof insulation.
By lightly stretching the roll along its length, the square corrugations will fall into line automatically with rafters at 400mm and 600mm centres and can easily be extended to suit 450mm centres.
