ADP Architecture’s landscape team specified Artform Urban’s High Performance Concrete (HPC) benches for a new plaza space outside the WMG building at the University of Warwick. WMG (formerly known as Warwick Manufacturing Group) is an academic department at the University.Artform Urban were contracted to supply and install these large units, each weighing up to 1500kg. Our technical involvement in the project simplified the supply and installation process for the main contractor including the experience we have of handling and installing heavy concrete units, saving time when the products arrived on site.

Designed By Redbox the architects wanted a light and spacious building without the need for a heavy support system. The glass and limestone mix imparts this vision perfectly. Completed in 2016 The Aztec system was installed by Metcalf Roofing & Building.

Installed by WD Group for main contractors RG Carter, the curtain walling was an integral part of architects Stride Treglown’s vision for the landmark structure, which also features a flying roof. It features AluK’s SL52 flexible capped curtain walling system throughout, with an entrance door fabricated using the suited GT55TB door system. The diagonal design and irregular angles meant that AluK had to create a solution with multiple transom and mullion sections which was cost effective, while still being true to the aesthetic and meeting the static considerations and performance requirements laid out.

This large luxury apartment complex wanted to optimise the look of the building from the outside as well as the inside. All apartments installed Silent Gliss Wave on the main side of the building which gave an overall co-ordinated and stylish effect to onlookers. Combined with other motorised roller blinds, this project is a great example of how Silent Gliss can use it’s wide product range to meet the needs of any kind of shading requirement.

Rathbone Market is one of six schemes in the UK that has been delivered by English Cities fund (ECf), a regeneration partnership between Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), Muse Developments and Legal and General. Part of the 680,000 sq ft Canning Town & Custom House regeneration area programme, Rathbone Market was designed by Project Orange and formed the third and final phase of the entire development. Continuing its long-standing relationship with John Sisk and Son, one of the main contractors to the programme, RCM supplied a whole host of products for the successful development of the project.

The SSE Hydro is the biggest performance arena ever designed by Foster+Partners. One of the main points of access to the venue is across an elevated walkway. Infill panels for the balustrade were supplied by Lang+Fulton, made from Micro-34 architectural grating; the galvanized finish and rectilinear appearance complimenting the surrounding buildings. Continuity throughout the overall project was achieved with a Roma-3 grating fence and entrance gates to secure the northern perimeter of the site. In addition, a series of Roma-3 compounds were designed for the secure storage of Events Catering deliveries.

Optimised levels of natural light and ventilation have transformed a Grade II Listed Building into a highly productive learning space The main challenge for Newcastle-based Xsite Architecture was to refurbish the Hawthorne building so that it created a space where students wanted to congregate in the communal areas beneath, yet still satisfied Listed Buildings’ requirements and maintained the feel of the industrial heritage of the site. A key requirement was high levels of natural light and ventilation and the architects took their lead from the mounting body of research that shows how these elements can increase learning capacity.

ASF's Building Protection Corner Bollard was used in the above project. The bollard is set up so that there is one quarter missing on the upright plane so that it fits perfectly on a 90 degree outside wall. The pattern can be adapted to other angles if necessary. Once in place the bollard acts as a wheel buffer for any vehicles getting too close to the corner - thus reducing the risk of damage to either the building or vehicle.

Accoya selected for the renovation of the GeoSouthern Energy’s corporate headquarters. Distributed by Mason’s Mill & lumber, the Accoya cladding was milled into a Vanish Rain Screen profile with a walnut stain for the exterior of the building. Various sizes of Accoya were used ranging widths between 5”-8”. In total 80 m3 of Accoya was used for the project. Accoya was chosen due to its stability & durability making it the perfect fit for designers Kirksey.
