A Rundum Original bespoke garage door provided the ideal solution for a stunning new contemporary home on the banks of Loch Tummel overlooking Perthshire’s famous mountain, Schiehallion. The building envelope’s dramatic parallel walls of sawn Caithness stone and polished concrete flank both sides of the house, with the property’s northern end featuring a dramatic main sitting room surrounded by two-storeys of frameless glass. An elegant Rundum Original side sliding garage door features to maintain the external beauty of the property, hand crafted to a bespoke design in Germany using Western Red Cedar.
Folding shutters at Deptford Fire Station
Bolton Gate Company
Deptford Fire Station is a Grade II listed building in Lewisham having been originally constructed in 1903. Bolton Gate supplied the folding appliance bay doors in the 1960’s and although still functional after fifty years, they were in need of replacement due to frequent usage. Since the building is listed, every effort was required to replace the doors on a like for like basis and Bolton Gate were engaged to supply new folding shutters to the same design which were installed and handed over recently.
This is the latest in a list of several fire station contracts undertaken in London.
Accoya windows take in first-class views at split level Hastings home

Accoya was used to construct the external windows, window reveals & doors.
38 Accoya fixed & opening windows were installed, & 22 glazed door leafs. They will require little maintenance over their lifetime due to the process in which the wood is made.

Romanian home made entirely from Accoya

Accoya was recommended by distributor Tecade for use in the construction of the building.
Tecade recommended the use of Accoya to ensure that the building would sit well in its natural surroundings, while also maintaining its structural integrity in the harsh environment.
Accoya was used for all applications throughout the home including the façade, interior doors, indoor & outdoor furniture, terrace, garage door & railings. The architect specified 28mm X 150mm of Accoya for the outdoor terrace & constructed the terrace furniture using around 1 cubic meters of Accoya to build 3 tables & 36 chairs for external use.

Washroom’s highly engineered, full height Marcato cubicles provide the perfect solution for a cutting edge research facility at Imperial College in London.
With a flush fronted and rebated finish, the division panels and doors of the Marcato cubicle, which were manufactured from 20mm Formica HPL, meet edge to edge for maximum privacy. Two complementing shades of Formica were specified - a sky blue for the cubicle doors, pilasters and Concerto duct panelling and a soft grey as a contrast for the interior division panels.
Washroom also designed, manufactured and installed Corian vanity units in a crisp white.
The Adelphi Building, 1-11 John Adam Street London Highly Commended Refurbished

The Adelphi is an iconic art deco building & the plans for its refurbishment, took this into account, when thinking of its new design. We were asked to manufacture & supply, bespoke horizontally orientated, SG European oak veneered panels, fire performance doors & toilet cubicle fronts. Horizontal matching throughout called for a detailed analysis of the scheme, ensuring the horizontal matching was seamless throughout the project. All the veneer was a stained finish, making the project even more of a challenge as colour consistency throughout was key . We also supplied factory primed doors & framesets for finish on site.

Designed by Chaplin Farrant The Nest is a new community sports facility funded by the charity partner of Norwich City football club, to help improve the health and well-being of local residents.The development includes an impressive refurbished clubhouse with changing rooms, physio room, event and conference spaces plus a café and IT suite. Senior’s SF52 aluminium curtain wall and SPW600 aluminium windows have been used throughout the new building to give a light and airy feel. For inclusive access and security, a combination of SPW501 aluminium commercial doors and SD automatic sliding doors were installed.

When it was being built, the trust specified a need for practical and safe en-suite locksets that were also consistent with the window and door handles.
Our Primera 1-way SOS (Staff Override System) locksets were fitted on all of the en-suite rooms, offering superior safety by allowing staff to unlock the door even if the service user was to hold the turn/pull. P
Plus our standard anti-ligature push/pull handles was fitted across the ward, providing consistency .
Trowse Primary School Lockers Project

Helmsman two compartment heavy-duty lockers were supplied, delivered and installed by Helmsman professionals in Trowse Primary School corridors. Bespoke specification of 1600mm height and a range of different door colours were chosen to brighten up this primary school. Each compartment door was fitted with an oval laminated number plate, from 1 to 60 twice. Blue and grey themed lockers were fitted on the first floor, while green and grey themed lockers were fitted on the second floor to split the floors. Diamond swivel locks were fitted on the lockers for an easy use and the pleasing aesthetics.

Bunn Leisure Holiday Park has revamped its facilities at Chichester resort. Part of the works included the supply of new leisure lockers and the refurbishment of the existing lockers for both the wet and dry areas of the swimming pool complex. We designed, supplied and installed the new units as well as completely overhauling the existing lockers.
Lockers are all three compartments in standard 1800mm x 300mm wide and 450mm deep banks with aluminium body and laminated doors in a mix of colours. Works included replacing of door springs along with coin lock replacements, number wrist straps and locker numbers.

The high-quality health and fitness changing facilities were fitted with leisure glass lockers in the form of our leisure lockers in one compartment, two-compartment and three compartments fitted with 10mm glass-silk blue doors. We also supplied cubicles, bench seating, IPS which complemented the area.
The wet side changing and dry sports changing areas were supplied with leisure lockers. Locker doors were selected from the Formica range in a mix of violet, heather and grey, red, yellow and oak, leaf green, lime and grey and tropical blue, blue and grey.

This Grade II listed building in Thames Ditton dates from 1792. The former manor house, priory and chapel was repurposed as a care home in 1905 by the Nuns of Compassion, yet in recent years the historic buildings have posed challenges to delivering modern standards of care.
Oliver & Robb Architects have rationalised the design in a renovation project to created 78 luxury bed spaces.
We were appointed to design, supply and install a total of 263 timber tilt and slide sash windows, tilt and turn windows, single doors and French doors to sympathetically upgrade the property.

Chorlton High School Laminate Lockers Project

It’s prime time for the education sector to refurbish and service institutions. Helmsman manufactured and installed almost 200 new laminate lockers in a high school in Manchester. These laminate lockers were extra heavy duty. Having ‘extra’ heavy-duty lockers means that the laminate doors inset into the locker frame and creates extra durability. The advanced locking design provides a return lip within the internal door frame for the hooked cam to lock behind. In addition, there is a locking slot in the door frame upright that enables secure locking in two places. These stable and fire retardant four compartment lockers have created storage for 776 students.The Laminate used was Arpa Fucisa, which makes the corridors pop. The laminate lockers are all standard sizes of 1775mm high x 300mm wide x 450mm deep. This project included a standard 150 mm stand with the rear leg which has been cladded with matching laminate panels to have a fully secure, clean and aesthetically pleasing effect. Arpa Fucisa also used for the sidewall to locker infill. Chorlton school chose to have engraved numbers on each locker door. We worked with Squire Sanders, the global law firm, and their architect Jacobs Webber, to design their contemporary headquarters. Based in Central London at 7 Devonshire Square, their space needed to be professional, functional and fit with the aesthetic of the rest of their offices located in various countries around the world.In their building, we fitted secondary doors – for cupboards and storage spaces – that were full-height and designed to discreetly hide the casing of sliding folding walls to create a smooth and sleek interior. They worked perfectly with the architect’s plans so that the company had to make no compromises on the design they wanted within the space that they had.We also spent time drawing up a completely bespoke design for their fire extinguisher cupboards, factoring in aesthetics, function, and safety. The end result consisted of cupboards with a concealed frame, a stainless steel wrapped door, and a vision panel to see within the unit from the exterior.In terms of the doors themselves, we worked with the architect and the law firm to select the Arriva, Innova, models and bespoke SS-Faced Arriva models. These choices allowed us to create designs that worked perfectly for their use and allow the design to flow throughout their headquarters.The end result is effortlessly modern, and the design is consistent with their global branding. The Parcel Boxes use a full front opening door combined with a digital combination lock which allows for large items such as internet purchases to be securely left ready for later retrieval by specific resident. Now reimagined as The Edinburgh Grand, the formerA-listed RBS head office built between 1938 and 1942 is animpressive building situated on St Andrew Square. With manypieces of Victorian antique brass and pewter ironmongeryand hundreds of original period doors throughout, theironmongery solution had to accommodate the traditionalaesthetic and be fit for the many demands of a modern hotel.Allgood was commissioned by the project’s architect andinterior designer, both long term partners of Allgood; KarenBrown of Chris Stewart Group and Eirini Christodoulou ofMorgan McDonnell. With such a striking, but unusual finish,finding coordinated hardware was a challenge. Severaloptions were assessed before settling on a brass finishapplied to the Allgood door closers, cylinders and joinerysubcontractor’s hinges.A collection of classic Frank Allart handles was chosen for allapartment front doors, which also integrated with the hotel’saccess control system. To match the patina of the agedhandles, a satin nickel-plated surface was given a light bronzefinish to produce an aged nickel silver appearance. Thisunlacquered, ‘living’ finish, will oxidize and patinate naturallyover time.

Komfort worked in partnership with GHI to design and support with supply and install for all Polar frame works, door frames and glass doors.
Komfort’s Polar collection was used throughout the project. Double glazed Polar’s simplistic method of installation, relocatability and powerful acoustic properties made it an intelligent option for this fit-out. Whilst, Polar single glazed minimalist form facilitated speed of erection without compromising structural stability and rigidity. Deflection heads +/- 25mm were used for both systems.
Additionally, the Sonik collection provided enhanced acoustic performance whilst also creating an open-plan modern feel.

London Gatwick is the second largest airport in the UK.System M was recommended for its stylish design and durability to withstand the heavy footfall. It also has an emergency feature to access the toilet cubicles in less than 30 seconds. This patented system enables normally inward opening doors to be opened outwards, without having to break components or lift off the pilasters or doors.Integrated hand basin modules were specified for easy access for maintenance staff and a streamlined experience for users. We’ve installed new unisex ‘superloos’ to make the most of the available space on every floor of the iconic Heal’s building in London following an extensive refurbishment programme.
The self-contained 'superloo' cubicles each has its own vanity unit and hand drying facilities.
Natural stone vanities, featuring inset waste bins, were installed along with wall panelling and our Concerto integrated duct panel system both finished in toughened glass.
Our full height Alto toilet cubicle doors, which were metal faced and feature bespoke door handles, specially designed for this project, complete the design.

We’ve created a striking new reception area plus contemporary monochrome superloos and a cycle change area as part of an office refurbishment.
Each self-contained superloo cubicle contains a toilet and wall-mounted vanity unit, with the full height Alto toilet cubicle doors providing complete privacy for office staff. Manufactured in white high pressure laminate, the toilet cubicle doors were completed with matching Corian solid surface edging and black ironmongery to match the rest of the black washroom accessories.
Washroom also delivered toughened low iron glass back-painted wall panelling for each toilet cubicle.
Arts University, Bournemouth

Sustainability and design were the major focus for this new £24 student accommodation project which achieved a ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating.
Senior’s highly thermally efficient glazing package was chosen to meet the scheme’s sustainability criteria and budget. This included thermally enhanced SPW600 windows fitted with a Louvre Guard System in bedrooms and kitchens and with smoke vents in corridors for additional safety and security.
With their innovative thermal break offering exceptional thermal efficiency, PURe® Commercial Doors were installed at the security office whist PURe® SLIDE Lift & Slide doors were specified for the large communal area.

Designed by Bright Space Architects, Berry Court reflects the art deco heritage of Bournemouth with clean horizontal banding and sweeping curves.
A comprehensive fenestration package from Senior Architectural systems was specified, comprising thermally efficient windows and sliding patio doors for the apartments, plus curtain walling and commercial doors for the main building to make the most of the stunning views over the town and out to sea.
Hilton Garden Hotel Old Trafford

The new Hilton Garden Inn Hotel enjoys a prime location with stunning views overlooking the Lancashire Cricket pitch at Emirates Old Trafford.
To create the bright and welcoming entrance to the new hotel, Senior’s slimline SF52 aluminium curtain walling was used alongside our SPW600 aluminium casement windows and robust SPW501 aluminium commercial doors. The rooms at the rear of the hotel, which directly overlook the cricket ground, feature Senior’s patented, thermally-enhanced PURe® SLIDE aluminium sliding doors. These open onto individual balconies that can be also be used as private corporate boxes during events at the cricket ground.

Cotton Field Wharf is the first scheme to be completed as part of Manchester Life’s plans to create over 1000 new private rental homes across the Ancoats area of Manchester.
The 302 new apartments benefit from Senior’s patented PURe® casement windows, which offer some of the lowest U-values available on the UK market.
Senior’s PURe® FOLD doors open onto private terraces, which enjoy picturesque views overlooking the marina.
On the lower levels, SF52 curtain walling and SPW501 doors have been used to frame the communal areas, and maximise the sense of light and space.
The Forge, Upton Park

Built on the site of the former East London Bus Garage, The Forge creates 192 residential apartments clustered around communal courtyards. Working alongside installer Ravenworth, a two-million pound systems package of 1,000 aluminium windows, 170 aluminium patio doors and 20 aluminium commercial doors were provided to this project.The light buff buildings range from three to five storeys with a contrasting white brick 14-storey focal building. This forms the gateway to the development together with a row of interestingly designed townhouses. Each block displays frequent openings with contrasting areas of glazing and cladding, softened with balconies.

The headquarters of companies are usually established in city centres close to important transport links. The natural landscape and the wide horizon perspective are not usually associated with office buildings. Press Glass’s ambition was to create a modern headquarters on a green plateau, which would express the dynamic nature of the company and, at the same time, provide employees with contact with nature.The award winning project was developed with large glass panes around the building and elements of curved glass all framed using Aluprof's MB-SR50N EFEKT capless curtain walling, MB86 windows and doors and MB-77HS lift and slide door systems.Architect: Konior Studio

Planet Partitioning used p20 single glazed demounatble partitioning with a smoked laminate glass finish on optiwhite glass, then combined this carefully with low-iron glass to give the client the exact colour wanted.
The requirement covered two floors and some of the partitioning formed a balustrade for the edge between them. Eclipse sliding doors ensured a highly premium, clean-like look and feel. Several doors were patch-hinged to address key deflection head requirements.
As part of the package we also created a membrane ceiling across a recess area within the showroom, enhancing key illumination areas by softening the light.
Queen Elizabeth Children's Hospital

The former Queen Elizabeth Children’s Hospital building in Tower Hamlets, London lay abandoned and deteriorating after its closure in 1997. Twenty years later a vibrant new residential development stands in its place.
Architects HTA Design liaised closely with heritage consultants to ensure that original key elements, such as the Hackney Road facade, were preserved and seamless integrated.The new building provides 188 homes of which 72 are Affordable. We were appointed to design, manufacture and install 122 timber tilt and turn windows with a high acoustic specification of 45 dB Rw; plus timber single doors and French doors.
