Carewell Vets, a brand-new independent veterinary practice situated in Lingfield, Surrey, decided from Day One to provide the best facilities and services for both their patients and staff, and that included the need for a modern and welcoming environment.The Practice started afresh with the conversion of an old building, with the objective to establish a state-of-the-art practice, to include the integration of cutting-edge equipment and facilities right from the beginning.To create an efficient and contemporary space, Carewell Vets partnered with David Bailey Furniture. The challenge was clear - to seamlessly upgrade the practice's interiors, ensuring a cohesive blend of modern design and functional fitted furniture, all geared towards delivering exceptional veterinary care.David Bailey Furniture responded with a wide range of bespoke fitted furniture solutions tailored to meet Carewell Vets' specific needs. Here, David Bailey Furniture provided Trespa TopLab Base 16mm worktops and upstands in E0-02 Silver Grey, custom-selected to meet the practice's stringent standards.The success of this project hinged on meticulous planning and precise execution. Müller & Müller Denistry Practice, Rennerod GermanyInstaller: GeschwenderProduct: Geschwender Bespoke Furniture and DesksGeschwender designed and installed bespoke HPL furniture to their local dentist office in Rennerod.In addition to the backlit branded front desk Geschwender built custom dentistry cabinetry to the treatment room with a solid surface inset sink and dispensing hatches for gloves and tissue below the high-level cabinets. Specialist drawers and inserts were also made to securely hold tools.Using HPL for sanitaryware in a clinical environment means all the furniture can be cleaned regularly and thoroughly with almost any cleaning agents and suspended dispensers reduce touch points to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

At Broxap we work with our regeneration and development clients to design street furniture which realises the aims of their masterplan. We worked with our client to create a series of seating and outdoor dining furniture options for a number of residential areas. The resulting range of seating incorporates inclusive design features as well as modern picnic tables located in shared outdoor living spaces.

David Bailey Furniture Systems (DBFS), a leading manufacturer of specialist healthcare fitted furniture, has been chosen to supply a wide range of new systems, as part of a major redevelopment at the Stroke Unit at Maidstone Hospital, managed by the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.The project, currently in Phase Two, aims to expand the unit's bed capacity and enhance its capabilities to deliver exceptional care to the community. On this fast turnaround project we worked closely with Apteriors; Interior Design and Furniture Specialists and McLaren Construction to manufacture and supply outdoor concrete furniture for new multipurpose recreation and study area for New Regent’s College in London. Living Concrete supplied 4 large Let’s Dine Concrete Tables and 12 concrete cube seats with oak cladding which were assembled on site and finished with a specialist sealant. For thirty-one years Bradshaw Flooring have been installing all types of flooring, including hardwood, carpet and decorative vinyl designs, and in 2018 they took on a 750m² refurbishment project for Cotswolds Furniture Co, using a full system of ARDEX products.

Design studio Dual Works were commissioned by UK-based Sense Charity to design, make and install a suite of tailor-made furniture to transform three spaces into distinct environments for the different services that Sense offers to support its community. The project involved furniture with multiple approaches in terms of their use and functionality alongside a cohesive visual identity. Dual Works worked with each team to determine their priorities which has resulted in a playful children’s area, a professional workspace and a creative studio.

Its smooth finish makes it ideal for a modern, minimalist design that can be easily combined with materials like wood and ceramic.

Contractor Keir was appointed by Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the new 3417m² imaging centre at Royal Brompton Hospital, the largest specialist heart and lung healthcare provider in the UK. Kier commissioned us to provide healthcare furniture to the value of £120,000 across this new facility.The furniture we manufactured has been installed across many areas of this new facility, including: dirty utility, prep/anaesthetic area, cardiac CT scanner room, ultrasound, 1st & 2nd stage recover, paediatric waiting, radiology reporting and clinical admin office. Our Healthline range of furniture was chosen for this installation, with worktops in colour G075 Gris Centre, handles in chrome and carcases in white.

£1.35 million healthcare furniture contract for UCLH purpose built proton beam therapy cancer hospitalWe were selected by Bouygues UK, one of the country’s leading construction companies, to manufacture and install healthcare and bespoke furniture for the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) cancer and surgery hospital at Grafton Way, central London. We completed a full FF&E Group 1 and Group 2 fit-out for just under 800 rooms over 10 floors of this brand new facility. This included 2 floors of a private HCA Healthcare wing. The scale of this project in central London came with its own logistical challenges but with the advent of Covid-19 the challenges increased. We’re pleased that we worked through these to deliver the total installation.

The Moores Orthopaedic Clinic, located in the picturesque village of Upton Grey, Basingstoke, has completed a major new build project to deliver a specialist veterinary orthopaedic clinic, featuring a 21st century interior using bespoke fitted furniture from David Bailey Furniture Systems Ltd.This successful project called for the design of a veterinary facility that could seamlessly blend innovation, hygiene, and efficiency. Realising a design set by architects, Broxap Street Furniture manufactured a high capacity cycle parking compound for a dynamic new business park.

Friarage Hospital in North Yorkshire completed the construction of its flagship £10m cancer centre. Funded by the South Tees Hospital Trust, Yorkshire philanthropist Sir Robert Ogden, and generous donations from the local community. Artform supplied the Wellspring range of furniture. The freestanding chairs can be easily moved, whilst offering robustness when frequently handled. The elegant teak furniture has subtle features to make sitting and rising easier and more comfortable and was designed specifically with healthcare facilities in mind. The outdoor space is now a relaxing place for patients and visitors to use and supporting improvements to health and wellbeing.

Colours inspired by the natural environment, combined with the outstanding performance of Forbo Flooring Systems’ luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and carpet tile solutions, have helped AMH Workspace create an uplifting working environment for Furniture Clinic’s new HQ, which ‘brings the outdoors indoors’.AMH Workspace was brought on board by Furniture Clinic as part of the refurbishment project to create a warm and welcoming new HQ for the company’s 65 employees. With wood being an integral part of the business, it naturally features prominently both on the external façade of the building and internally.A striking feature of the new 50,000 sq ft premises is the atrium area with a cedar slat wall covered with natural moss that catches the eye as soon as you enter the building. Full floor to ceiling height windows and a balcony area with open walkways completes the visual spectacle and have transformed the entrance area into a bright, welcoming and memorable space.“Using Forbo’s Allura Flex LVT flooring in Brown Raw Timber in the ground floor reception area adds warmth to such a vast space,” explained Heather. Available in 34 wood designs, Allura Flex comes in 4 different plank sizes, offering greater design freedom. The matte surface features a natural looking fine wood grain with a true to life embossing, while the tile’s special backing is designed for comfort and improved impact sound reduction. This has helped to control the noise in the expansive reception area.Heather continued: “We chose Allura Flex for its natural looking characteristics. The extra-large 150 x 28 cm planks were perfect for such a large space, while the 5mm thickness and 1mm wear layer offers exceptional performance, making it the ideal solution for this high traffic area.”Forbo’s Tessera Cloudscape carpet tiles in the green hues of Monsoon Cloud and Summer Storm have been used throughout the offices and meeting rooms. In the open office area, Cloudscape has been installed in conjunction with Allura Flex, again in the Brown Raw Timber colourway, to create separate work and meeting/breakout zones. Forbo’s range of Tessera carpet tiles combine well with Allura Flex LVT, as the same adhesive can be used during installation, which means there is no need for transition strips, enabling a seamlessly integrated flooring design.

A stylish redevelopment of a courtyard at Stratford University. The project needed products that matched the aesthetic of the Stratford Cultural Quarter landscape. Artform were chosen as the preferred supplier on a range of architectural street furniture. The Parc Vue range of case style furniture was specified. The package included the Parc Vue Tables and Chairs by Landscape Forms along with a selection of sleek stainless steel bins and bollards, and elegant timber and steel benches.

We collaborated with French furniture brand, Hetch Mobilier, who used our ColorCore® by Formica Group range on their ‘FLOWA’ collection in the most creative way. Their unique design approach produced stunning results!

Broxap Street Furniture has designed, manufactured and installed a range of cycle parking and has supplied seating, picnic benches, door barriers and litter and recycling bins for the £20 million Chorlton High School South.

We have been selected by architects IBI Group and construction group, Tilbury Douglas, to manufacture and install healthcare furniture for a project improving the obstetric and neonatal facilities at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen. The furniture contract is for the value of £100,000.The contract win follows the Welsh Government’s £25.2 million investment into the obstetric and neonatal facilities at Hywel Dda University Health Board’s Glangwili Hospital as part of its Design For Life Framework. The project is divided into 4 phases: Phase 1 of the project has already been completed, Phase 2 is underway at present and the entire project should be completed by early 2023.David Bailey has a strong presence in Wales and we had recently carried out some successful, substantial contracts there, as part of notable projects in the area, that had come to the attention of Interserve. 

Artform Urban were asked to supply a mixture of standard and bespoke furniture for a new campus development at Bath Spa University. The stylish Big Harris benches by Metalco, provided a large amount of seating for a good value. As one of our most popular seating ranges in tropical hardwood, it can be coordinated with other street furniture for a standard look throughout the landscaping. Through discussions with Illman Young Landscape Design, Artform produced an adapted design to accommodate DDA compliance by incorporating a backrest and armrests to 30% of the seating.

Artform Urban Furniture was appointed by Sager House (Almeida) to provide seating and cycle parking to a mixed-use community space in Islington, North London.Hidden behind an Edwardian façade of a former postal sorting office, Islington Square has been over a decade and a half in the making after the plot was initially bought in 2003 by Developers Cain International. After years of careful planning and construction, the site is now complete and comprises of independent retail units, restaurants, galleries, event spaces, a cinema, and 263 new flats.The intention of the project was to bring variety back to the high street and as well as the boutique shops, unique retailers and events spaces this consideration was echoed in the choice of street furniture. A selection of our stone seating and planter elements have been supplied to the site that feature distinctive designs to stand out. The Up Bench is a sculptural and modular bench, manufactured from a binding compound of granite that has been bush hammered and treated against deterioration. Inslington Square features combined runs of Up benches that create snaking blocks of social seating.The Arrowhead range of benches and planters are dotted around the space bringing natural colour as well as further social seating opportunities. These curvaceous monolith-shaped units offer a low-maintenance and resilient alternative to traditional street furniture. Their weight and mass also allow their placement to be considered in terms of building pedestrian protection from vehicles.Finally, considerations for cycling visitors and residents have been met with a selection of our premium cycle stands. The Ride Cycle Stand features concealed connections and discreet leveling glides to make the stand appear balanced in air. The cast aluminium flat ribbon frame marks it as a member of the Metro40 family of street furniture. 25 Units were supplied which provide great bicycle support with the capability for attachment at two points and holds two bicycles creating parking space for up to 50 bikes. Islington Square is an inclusive, pedestrian-friendly hub that sits at the heart of the surrounding community and brings something different to both residents and visitors.
