Eclipse sliding doors were used for the lobby area, ensuring a seamless look throughout the space.

Modular in design, the system employs a sequence of curves and internal track switches to allow the smooth and easy movement of large, heavy panels. Cleverly harnessing the kinetic energy created by panel movement, i-Track utilises that momentum to effortlessly facilitate a change in direction as each panel passes through the curves, into and out of the parking pocket. Addressing the ongoing need for social distancing, moveable wall systems can be effectively utilised to create discrete employee ‘bubbles’ by dividing office space into smaller areas.

With both walls benefiting from semi-automatic operation, the acoustic seals are always applied to exactly the right pressure, delivering exceptional privacy during meetings and events. Creating a contemporary yet highly functional feature of the walls, a combination of acoustic absorbing fabric and writeable glass was used as finishes.Style is the exclusive UK partner to Dorma Hüppe offering a complete range of solid and glass moveable walls with manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic operation.“This is a really stylish head office for Sandon Global, and the Variflex moveable walls not only offer adaptable room space, but they also complement the interior design perfectly,” said Andy Gibson, Style’s director for the North.“The 46dB acoustics on both operable walls ensure that meetings, training sessions, workshops and other events can take place undisturbed. PROJECT OVERVIEWThe Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts was designed by Foster & Partners and commissioned by main contractor Kier Eastern. The brief was to replace 30-year-old partitioning with a system capable of fitting in with a visually aesthetic solution which was in-keeping with the existing architectural style.OUR SCOPE OF WORKThe demands of supplying architectural partitioning solutions within a visual arts centre environment meant that only the highest standards of design and functionality would be acceptable. From the start of the design phase, we worked in partnership with Norman Foster and Kier to create unique modular steel and glass partitions throughout the building. Bespoke doors provided the ultimate finish. Our approach was to ensure that functionality and aesthetics worked together to deliver consistency and innovation throughout the building. Attention to detail was paramount to the success of installing bespoke partitions within the creative surroundings of the Centre.

This project was undertaken for a global financial services company with a long and distinguished pedigree. One of the world’s most recognisable investment management brands, it has offices in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.As leading innovators in the design and manufacture of adaptable and reusable solid and glazed partitions, Radii were a perfect fit for this project.We designed a series of systems based on three of our existing Linear 30 single-glazed partitions (Rw 40 dB) and our Parallel 50 and 100 double-glazed partitions (Rw 45 & 50 dB), combined with Hogan pivot doors throughout.To accommodate deflection, we created a bespoke blind box detail capable of a +/- 15mm lateral movement. We also created new extrusions to achieve a +/-59mm deflection, used to deal with vertical movement in isolated locations.Installation of our system was complex because of the variety of partitions used, combined with physical variations between storeys. This meant we had to survey every part of the building separately to ensure our partitions and doors fit perfectly. We co-ordinated with other trades to ensure installation was exactly as required.We began this major fit-out in January 2023 and completed it within 20 weeks – well within schedule. The final partition systems exceeded the prescribed acoustic ratings, while the overall project achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and LEED ‘Gold’ ratings. We were delighted to be awarded with a contractor rating of 9.9 out of 10 for what was a very complex and demanding design and installation.

Radii create a bespoke glass partition system design for BCG Digital Ventures, with new dies manufactured especially for the project at our in-house manufacturing facilities.Previously, Radii had worked at 80 Charlotte Street for BCG to produce a stunning timber-framed partition system across 257 meeting rooms and offices in the floors directly above the Digital Ventures site. This new installation was designed to match our original work for BCG and create a synergy throughout the space — but with aluminium framework used in place of timber.The final installation used 100mm wide single glazed partitions and joinery with consistent mullion details. Furthermore, bespoke dies were also created for black powder coated aluminium light portals that were installed around some partitioning elements with integrated LED lighting.Radii also provided some fire rated glazing from the FirePro range, certified up to Ei120 rating for screens and Ei90 for doors.

Darling Associates and McLaren Group approached Planet Partitioning to undertake the internal atrium glazing and fire-rated glass doors for their fit-out of Ampersand, London. Planet was specified to design, manufacture and install all the glass partitioning for an internal atrium, balustrades and fire-rated and non–fire rated lift lobby doors.
For the atrium, Planet Partitioning used full-height frameless 15.5mm low-iron toughened laminated glass. This highly curved atrium needed glass rising from the door plate to create a fluid feel, complementing the central spiral staircase. Planet then installed steel framework to support the atrium glazing.

Planet Partitioning used p20 single glazed demounatble partitioning with a smoked laminate glass finish on optiwhite glass, then combined this carefully with low-iron glass to give the client the exact colour wanted.
The requirement covered two floors and some of the partitioning formed a balustrade for the edge between them. Eclipse sliding doors ensured a highly premium, clean-like look and feel. Several doors were patch-hinged to address key deflection head requirements.
As part of the package we also created a membrane ceiling across a recess area within the showroom, enhancing key illumination areas by softening the light.

When the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) were looking to move into their new Head Office, just off Princess Street in the heart of Edinburgh, Michael Laird Architects asked Planet Partitioning to put together a specification for the Category B fit-out of the existing building. Working closely with Souness & Boyne, Planet Partitioning used p100 frameless double glazing system throughout to create meeting rooms and offices with high acoustic performance, in a simple grey design. The eight-week job also involved installing minimal framework double glazed doors throughout the offices, to complement the p100 double glazed partitions.

A busy facility, Netherfield medical centre recently contracted Style to design and install moveable wall solutions that would allow both the reception area and staff room to be quickly divided into smaller working spaces, as required. Transforming the use of the facilities, the two Stylefold folding walls allow the rooms to be divided at a moment’s notice, opening-up options as to how the internal space is utilised. With 46dB Rw acoustics, the walls create an effective screen, offering privacy when in situ. Intensely practical, both walls have a clinical white thermopal finish, complementing the modern interior of the medical centre.

Creating agile working space, Style collaborated with HLW architects and main contractor Overbury, to install three Dorma Hüppe Variflex moveable wall systems, giving freedom to create two individual meeting rooms, or one large open area.
Maximising light flooding into this beautifully designed office, one operable wall is glass, whilst the others are finished respectively in a stunning Kvadrat Maharam Merit fabric and Fluted Timber veneer, matching surrounding joinery.
Ensuring meetings can run concurrently, the walls provide impressive 59dB acoustic integrity.

Feltfon Linear’s appearance is akin to wool, it has a strong textural appeal and represents a further exploration of material innovation.Based on a linear design and so in keeping with Gustafs well-known design language, this iteration of Feltfon can be specified with strips of wood in between the felt ribs, creating an appealing nature-inspired surface solution.Although this solution can be customised for each project, it is a uniquely designed ready-to-use system. Unlike most felt installations, Feltfon Linear uses the standard Capax Quick-Up installation system for walls and ceilings. Fully demountableThis system is sturdy for use in high traffic environments, it has the benefit of being able to grip multiple rib widths and it is also fully demountable during or at the end of its useful life. The range has a thickness of 9mm: comparable products do not usually have such generous proportions. This means it is suitable for high-traffic commercial application, for example, in school environments and other public spaces. Michael Laird Architects approached Planet Partitioning to provide high acoustic partitioning screens and doors, across all 4 floors of the scheme, with an extra 5th floor secured upon completion, as a result of the impressive works Planet provided.With audio being the Client’s line of work, the office space not only included meeting rooms, open plan office space and break out areas, but also ‘Jam’ rooms and recording studios. Stringent acoustic attenuation was therefore called for, with PURE100 double glazed partitioning screens and IsoPro doors being used throughout the office and meeting areas, and PURE100 single glazing used in the break out spaces. By using the PURE100 range throughout, the scheme ensured the head and base details remained uniform across all 4 floors.For the Jam rooms and recording studios, Planet recommended specialist PURE200 triple glazed screens, which can achieve staggering acoustics of 64dB Rw, ensuring workers wouldn’t be disturbed while staff ‘rock out’!ech panels were integrated to the partitioning screens surrounding the meeting rooms, as an easy way to book the rooms remotely and to notify staff of when the rooms are booked, and by whom.Planet designed a bespoke ‘zig-zag’ glazed partitioning screen to run along the front of a section of offices. The completed effect was quite striking and greatly received by the client and architect.

Furthermore. the integration of our innovative switchable glass partitions at ICG’s new London headquarters enhances privacy within the office. Working alongside architects HLW International and main contractor ISG we created an elegant and sleek fit-out, installing a contemporary, open design built with colleagues and clients in mind.

Based in Bristol, Sun Life offers straightforward life cover, insurance and savings for the over 50s. Taking an old soap and vinegar warehouse, the company chose Interaction to both run and design this ambitious CAT B fit-out. Planet Partitioning were bought on-board to design, manufacture and install the internal partitioning needed to create the corridors, offices and meeting rooms. To stay true to the building’s industrial history, LOFT20 was used throughout.The partitioning was used to section a varied choice of spaces, for both working and downtime, for a flexible working environment, fit for a modern company.To create a unique feature, faceted glass panels where used to create the illusion of curved walls. This was the first time the LOFT20 system had been installed in this manner and the result, with the bands applied, was seamless.

BCL are proud to have been a part of the team delivering the £400m redevelopment of London Bridge Station, designed by Grimshaw Architects and developed by Costain. The redeveloped station expects to see 75 million passengers pass through each year as part of the £6.5 billion Thameslink project. As part of the refurbishment the structure was replaced by pre-cast concrete bridge decks. The underside of these new decks became the ceiling which was then clad with our high performance Alpha acoustic timber panel system.The BCL “Alpha” panel system spans over 7,000 square metres of Western Red Cedar panels in three distinct patterns, providing class A and B sound absorption to reduce noise from passengers and trains. The panels are fire treated to Euro class B, fully demountable, have fully concealed fixings, and involve integrated lighting troughs. Our open configuration system allowed Grimshaw to design the unique panel composition to the highest standard. PROJECT OVERVIEWThe project comprised the design, manufacture, supply and installation of a new 8000m2 footprint of a highly specified Packing Facility. The brief was to provide nine GMP Grade D packing cells, each of which required strict temperature, humidity and pressure control to enable primary packing of pharmaceuticals in a clean environment with no risk of contamination. Each of these Primary Packing cells connects to a common, secondary packing area. OUR SCOPE OF WORK To meet the project specification and environmental requirements, Norwood proposed our 100mm Mediline Partition. Following a rigorous selection process, our solution was a preferred option over four alternative systems. Working closely with the client’s team and the main contractor, we designed and developed bespoke solutions such as Flush Coving, Fire Rated Vision Panels, Bulkheads and Half Height partitioning. Cleanability has been ensured through the hygienic finish of the partition panels and, in particular, by incorporating recessed radiused coving at ceiling to wall joints providing a smooth clean finish throughout the room. Our innovative acoustic ceiling combines hygienic, wipeable, sound absorbing materials and cleanroom grade panels which not only reduce environmental noise levels but also provide cleanable airtight surfaces. Within the open plan secondary area, partial height glazed partitioning was employed. The facility was built with future adaptability in mind and the possibility of increasing the cleanrooms to Grade C, therefore the Norwood Flush Coving was utilised in the spinal corridor and primary cells. Supplying over 7000m2 of ceilings and 6000m2 of partitioning, this was one of Norwood’s largest projects, delivered to an extremely challenging programme.

Planet won the project after impressing AEW Architects with stylish and cost effective products. FireStop doors were installed to compliment the earthy tones and playful 'outdoors' theme of the office design.
For the meeting rooms and office partitioning, Planet's p20 slimline glass partitioning was used along with full height glass swing doors to maximise the light and airy feel of the the office and atrium areas.
