The project involves major refurbishment and alterations to a Sheltered Housing scheme including completely new M&E installations. We were looking for new systems to improve heating, reduce maintenance and running costs, and ultimately provide comfort for all residents in a smart new environment. We opted for a communal heating system to avoid individual boilers and gas supplies in flats through installing a cascade of GB162 / C7000WP boilers and a Greenstar Heat Interface Unit (HIU) within each property. To supplement the systems, we also specified Greenskies solar thermal panels and a Gas Absorption Heat Pump to enhance the overall efficiency
National Performance Centre, Oriam

A comprehensive rooflight solution was supplied to the new £33 million Oriam, Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre, creating a light airy environment which offers exceptional thermal comfort for athletes.
Designed by Reiach and Hall Architects, the centre features a full-size indoor synthetic football pitch, two sports halls and other facilities. This building features a unique curved roof, incorporating a combination of rooflight systems that maximised daylight and limited heat gain.
The products chosen were a combination of Ritchlight mono pitched rooflights and Xlok Ultra panel glazing systems, vented and unvented, ensured the differing aesthetic and performance requirements were met.

Duo D411 Glass Infill Top FixOrbis OS230 Perforated Infill Side FixThis project included a high spec balustrade to feature stair including extra height glass to waiting areas. The choice of DelamereX gave a natural hardwood look along with durability and low maintenance. An additional three staff staircase balustrade and handrails in standard HiBuild finish and perforated infill panels were also included.Throughout the project, close liaising was needed with the Architect to ensure all necessary design requirements were adhered to and approved. Delta Balustrades installation of the feature stair and balustrades was phased to synchronize with the onsite program.
Wall Protection - The Halcon Centre

Located near Taunton, Somerset, the Halcon Centre provides short breaks, with 24-hour professional care, for up to 18 adults who are physically disabled or have sensory loss.
SureProtect Design® bespoke wall cladding was installed in the main corridor at the centre featuring a row of imitation panels, that have been designed to look hand-drawn with a marker pen to offer the homely feel the centre was looking for. In addition, the Halcon Centre further increased the corridor walls’ protection by installing Gradus’s CGH5090 High Impact PVC-u Corner Guards and WGS200 Wall Guards, both in colour Gravel.
National Automotive Innovation Centre, University of Warwick Campus
Howe Green
Howe Green has supplied around 400 bespoke access covers to the £150 million National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC) being built on the University of Warwick campus.
The floor access covers were required to provide safe and easy access to building services concealed under the raised flooring.
The bespoke 7500 Series Medium Duty Stainless Steel covers were specified by award-winning architects Cullinan Studio.
A reduced depth was required to enable the access covers to be infilled with the same flooring used elsewhere in the raised floor system - calcium sulphate floor panels, with the stone pre-bonded
Rooflights installed at Westcliff High School for Girls

LAMILUX were chosen by the façade contractor, to undertake this specialist element within their glazing package. By using 220mm deep mullion profiles, LAMILUX were able to design a system structurally capable of completely self-supporting. The 25m X 6m self-spanning rooflight removed the requirement for additional internal structural support such as steel beams - saving time and reducing the costs.
High performance glazing was essential to reduce solar heat gain and heat losses. 40 fixed glass panels, each measuring 1.2 x 2.9m and weighing 150kg were used to reduce the buildings energy consumption, without compromising daylight intake.

Prospec Marathon Laminate Wet lockers, with coin return locks and bespoke glass end panels, add an additional element complementing the quality feel of this first class centre. A range of accessible lockers are installed throughout the facility to ensure all users have complete access.

The redevelopment of Whitechapel Station in London has become the latest construction project in the capital to feature bespoke cladding panels from Proteus Facades.The new and improved Whitechapel Station, designed by BDP Architects forms a key part of a seven-year construction programme for the new Elizabeth Line Crossrail route – a high-speed train and tube link that will connect the outer western edges of London to the outer east.Hailed as the biggest transformation of the London transport system in recent years, the route passes through 41 stations and stretches over 60 miles, from Reading and Heathrow airport, through central London then on to Shenfield and Abbey Wood.

The answer was a bespoke version of our Rockfon® System MaxiSpan™ grid. We were then briefed to find an acoustic solution to resolve the acoustic challenges for the spaces which would host a variety of music concerts. We worked in partnership with ROCKWOOL and the solution was bespoke 100mm thick Rockfon Color-all® black ceiling tiles in combination with 100mm ROCKWOOL FLEXI® overlay and 40mm thick Color-all panels together with 100mm or 160mm FLEXI for the walls.”

Planet used p100 demountable double-glazed screens for all the classroom frontages and set black laminated timber classroom doors, and for the offices, 30-minuet fire-rated glass doors into our white aluminium slimline door frames.
P20 single-glazed demountable partitioning features in the library and sixth form, which includes a gap between each panel of glass, an aesthetic feature to complement the internal atrium glazing.
Eclipse sliding doors were used throughout.
Planet's Architectural Glass' in-house design team worked with Aedas to make sure the angled atrium glass was in line with the design intent.

The waterproofing to a large residential flatted development in London was carried out using the Koster TPO membrane.This warm roof design incorporated the Koster TPO Fleecebacked membrane mechanically fixed through PIR insulation, Koster Vapour Barrier and into the timber substructure as per the wind load calculation.An interesting project with many challenges that were all individually designed by the Koster technical team in collaboration with the project architects.The final roof incorporates hard standing areas, sedum and green roof sections, a solar panel farm and decorative stones.A beautifully deigned and usable area providing residents an amazing view over London.

The campus radiates around the two-storey Roundhouse where 220 panels of Rockfon Eclipse® ceiling islands are installed. Rockfon Eclipse is very versatile and can be hung from several kinds of structures where traditional suspended ceilings cannot usually be installed.

SAS International collaborated with architects TP Bennett to deliver metal ceiling solutions to meet CBRE’s unique demands on this CAT B fit-out.
SAS330i LED noggin lights were selected to provide a seamless butt-joint solution between panels and gridwork. This effect ensures there are no gaps between light and ceiling. Manufactured from extruded aluminum profiles, each light was polyester powder-coated at SAS’s factory to ensure flawless colour consistency across the space.
Delivering a complex fit-out on time and to specification, SAS delivered a striking feature ceiling that has transformed the office space for the client.

Iona Abbey on the Hebridean island of Iona has undergone a significant refurbishment including installation of galvanized steel canopies over the entrance to the refectory based on the symbol of wild geese. Mild steel perforated panels were used for the internal mezzanine balcony frontage in the refectory and the lift surround. The finish chosen for all metalwork was Evolution™- Diamond Mine, reflecting the natural rusting of steel. A high-performance duplex corrosion protection system for external metalwork with an authentic aged, weathered look without any staining of external stonework, together with less exposed internal metalwork, it achieved a harmonious finish throughout.

ROCKFON has successfully worked together with Global Contract Interiors, Kier Construction and Architects Seymour Harris, to establish a fully compliant range of acoustic solutions that meet the required performance specifications at the new Phoenix Academy in Telford; built as part of the council’s Building Schools for the Future programme.
Around 2,000m² of ROCKFON products: Rockfon Scholar and Samson wall panels; Rockfon Contour suspended baffles; and Rockfon Alaska suspended raft islands, were installed throughout the school to improve acoustic sound absorption – particularly in areas where the school design meant that traditional suspended ceilings were unable to be installed.

This iconic project was an exciting one for Shadbolt and we worked closely with the Architect to hand select the FSC certified SG American cherry needed for this job. Control random matched veneered panels, doors and doorsets would be made from the veneer selection so, our expert craftsmen created a seamless scheme from floor to floor.
We also supplied “Signal White” RAL 9003 paint lacquered doors that required FD30 & FD60 rating which we achieved with our unique Shadmaster solid laminated timber core, which also allowed these high performance doors to also be sound attenuating and FSC certified.

Architects AHR wanted to cloak the multi-storey in 3D hexagons, made up of individual ‘kite-shaped’ aluminium panels. Trouble was, they had only ever tried the design with paper.“Our design was a big ask,” admitted Dan Barnes, Regional Director of AHR, “but over a series of workshops and meetings with Maple, we turned what could have been a very complicated job into a simple bespoke system. Decorative wall linings from the Pendock Linea building linings range are being used at 2 Ruskin Square in Croydon, to conceal mechanical details surrounding a ground floor feature wall & fire curtain, while also providing a consistent finish to lift lobbies on each level of the 10 storey building.Designed by architects, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, the building provides 340,000 square feet of office space and incorporates retail units at ground level. The bespoke wall linings are manufactured from 3mm thick aluminium with a RAL 8022 finish and were also installed by Pendock using a concealed panel hanging system.

This £21 Million project involved partial demolition, refurbishment and extension of the existing East Wing of the Student’s Union to create a spacious, modern and accessible mixed-use building.
The stunning design by Shepheard Epstein Hunter, features a spectacular façade to the four-storey extension which fronts directly onto the University’s central square.
Created using Senior’s thermally enhanced SF52 silicon glazed and fully capped curtain walling, with the innovative patented PURe® aluminium opening vents, the façade gives a light and spacious feeling to all four floors. Curved glazing and perforated panels add to the dramatic appearance.

Location: Dubai, UAEThe Opus by Omniyat is an iconic residential, hotel and office building in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa District designed by Zaha Hadid which utilises an unusual volumetric design to stand out from its peers. The developer needed a replacement for drywall which produced less construction debris and achieved a 67dB acoustic rating with walls no thicker than 200mm.This was an extremely complex project which required bespoke elements from Specwall in order to succeed. As well as considering the curved walls, high acoustic requirements and luxury finishes, there was a specific requirement for unique, 2.7m cut panels to suit the building’s elevator space.

The cluster of individual sliding and pivoting wall panels can be used to create numerous sized spaces for impromptu meetings and brainstorming sessions. They can also be pulled together to form a wider temporary wall. Delivering further flexibility, Style installed a fully automatic, Skyfold vertical-rising partition capable of delivering 55dB acoustic privacy, as well as a semi-automatic DORMA Moveo double-glazed operable wall.

We’ve created a striking new reception area plus contemporary monochrome superloos and a cycle change area as part of an office refurbishment.
Each self-contained superloo cubicle contains a toilet and wall-mounted vanity unit, with the full height Alto toilet cubicle doors providing complete privacy for office staff. Manufactured in white high pressure laminate, the toilet cubicle doors were completed with matching Corian solid surface edging and black ironmongery to match the rest of the black washroom accessories.
Washroom also delivered toughened low iron glass back-painted wall panelling for each toilet cubicle.

Washroom manufactured and installed the vanity units which comprise a Corian worktop, individual countertop basins and inset waste bins set on a custom-made black metal frame.
Washoom's full height Alto toilet cubicles were manufactured with a high pressure laminate finish in white, which together with its black high pressure laminate Concerto integrated duct panel system behind the WCs and urinals, creates a contemporary monochrome effect.

The 2019 Special Olympics Cauldron Abu Dhabi was designed and fabricated in Yorkshire by Stage One Creative Services Ltd. It was then anodised using a selection of colours from our Anolok Bronze range. The anodised panels were then air freighted to Dubai where they were installed to create this magnificent cauldron prior to the opening ceremony. Each county did their own text which was applied underneath the logo using our UnAtex process. The main aim of this project was to ensure the material would be A1 fire rated due to flames being projected from inside the cauldron, hence making fire rating imperative.

Each self-contained cubicle includes a toilet, vanity unit and hand drying facilities behind a full height cubicle door and are an excellent solution for an office where space is at a premium.
Washroom's Concerto duct panelling, faced with shiny black brushed metallic effect high pressure laminate, was installed behind the toilets and underneath the sinks in each superloo cubicle. The vanities are manufactured from white Corian, set on a bespoke black metallic framework which also includes additional storage underneath as well as an inset waste bin.

The Northern General Hospital in Sheffield chose Yeoman Shield fire rated door protection systems to refurbish doors in the Radiology Department.
The configuration and refurbishment of the department was undertaken to improve patient flow, the overall environment and to rationalise inpatient and outpatient areas to satisfy privacy, dignity and capacity issues.
Yeoman Shield’s (Harrison Thompson) directly employed fixing operatives, who have been assessed as being competent to install such passive fire-resistant products by FIRAS, installed fire rated door protection panels, PVCu clad Glazing Bead Units and Door Edge Protectors to various doors throughout the unit.

St Rollox church of Glasgow recently moved into a brand new, £2.5m community hub, with vibrant design and space flexibility at its heart.
Partitioning experts Style was specified to install two semi-automatic moveable walls, allowing the main worship area to be opened out for large services or to be divided for smaller gatherings. The Activity Space can be subdivided to host different events including education and craft classes, exhibitions and concerts.
Complementing the exciting interior décor, one moveable wall is double-glazed to maximise natural daylight whilst the other celebrates life, bringing sunshine into the space with brightly coloured solid panels.
