This innovative solution offered maximum security, allowing reception staff to lock the window as needed to maintain control over access. However, it also featured a unique bi-parting action; when one window was manually pushed open, the adjacent window would simultaneously open, maximising the available opening space. This design not only enhanced security but also facilitated smooth and efficient service for visitors, enabling reception staff to manage interactions with ease while maintaining a secure environment.By combining functionality with security, our solution provided the school with a versatile and adaptable reception area that could accommodate a wide range of needs, from everyday visitor interactions to handling deliveries, all while prioritising the safety and security of reception staff.

Rutherford House is an imposing 58,000 sq ft office building located within the heart of Birchwood Park, Warrington, providing superior office space to rent for small, medium and large businesses employing up to 100 people. Consisting of two wings of three and five floors, the building has excellent natural lighting and is conveniently located for travel across the region. 

78/92 Great Portland Street consists of a group of mixed period buildings which is under redevelopment by Great Portland Estates to provide 23,000 sq ft of residential flats, 11,000 sq ft of retail units and 18,000 sq ft of offices at a cost of £19million. Lang+Fulton installed 45.3 linear metres of louvred panels 1100mm high with 3 access doors, galvanized and ppc RAL7038. The louvred panels were inverted to provide maximum visual screening from ground level.

Union Industries has supported a leading food service company with its energy efficiency policy, following the installation of one of its market-leading high-speed roller doors. Leeds-based Union Industries was engaged to install one of its Eiger Doors to prevent the build-up of condensation and ice. The Eiger Door was designed specifically to suit BAKO’s requirements, which was mounted on the Non-Frozen side in an airlock between the warehouse and the freezer, with one of Union’s E1000 dehumidifiers installed within the freezer above the airlock ceiling, to minimise the amount of ambient air making its way into the facility’s freezer area

With over 22,000 square foot and 8 bedrooms, we manufactured in total, 13 Casement windows, 46 Spring Sash windows, bi-fold doors, 17 Conservation doors, two entrance doors and side doors.The client was keen to keep the windows and doors classy and elegant, and opted for 'Signal White' across all the windows, apart from the Japanese roof garden, where the Casement Windows were painted 'Anthracite Grey'.The huge entrance doors were finished in 'Jet Black' on the outside, with a high gloss finish, and Signal White on the inside, to match the interiors.We worked very closely with Croft Ironmongery as the client wanted a specific aesthetic achieved. Together, we developed lever handles on a rose, rather than a backplate, to bespoke fit our doors.With indoor pool and jacuzzi, tennis courts, lifts and staff quarters, this was truly a luxurious project, fitting perfectly with our hand-finished products.

We’ve installed new unisex ‘superloos’ to make the most of the available space on every floor of the iconic Heal’s building in London following an extensive refurbishment programme. The self-contained 'superloo' cubicles each has its own vanity unit and hand drying facilities. Natural stone vanities, featuring inset waste bins, were installed along with wall panelling and our Concerto integrated duct panel system both finished in toughened glass. Our full height Alto toilet cubicle doors, which were metal faced and feature bespoke door handles, specially designed for this project, complete the design.

The specification of the essential school lockers was 1775mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep. The school requested for the fabrication of the lockers to have slopping tops. Sloping tops are a common choice for school lockers because they reduce dust buildup and allow for storage without setting a risk to students’ safety if something falls off.With the essential school lockers were requested to have a metal body coated in our standard metal colour of ‘Ice’. Whereas the doors were laminate, powder coated in Blue Galaxy, Electric Blue, and Ozone. The lockers were completed with oval laminated number plates above the Camlocks, the school also requested for the locks to have master keys. Camlock is a great lock and ideal for schools as students are guaranteed that their belongings are secure and safe.Laminate Metal lockers are a great option for school lockers since they are trendy and popular. The 5-billion-dollar stadium has created a diverse event space that offers an unparalleled experience from enjoying cocktails and food to immersive sporting events.The stadium offers a ground-breaking video experience that became the first venue to air live football on its roof. Furthermore, the centre-hung Samsung screen is the world’s first halo video board that is roughly 70,000 square-foot, dual-sided and is considered the most LEDs ever used in a sports and entertainment venue.The SoFi Stadium will be hosting several global events from the Super Bowl LVI 2022, 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Summer Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.The Product:Surespan designed and manufactured four access products.  Two electrically operated, double leaf, flush floor hinged access covers to suit an overall frame size of 4267 x 1768mm.  Two electrically operated, double-leaf ceiling access panels to suit an overall frame size of 4267 x 1768mm. TrägerHAUS, an award-winning exclusive new home by HAUS Collective, is designed to take into account every aspect of the external envelope’s design to ensure consistency of form, quality and optimum aesthetic appeal.Whilst the scale and main volume of TrägerHAUS may not be apparent at street level, careful consideration of the materials for the home’s outward-looking elevation and main entrance. Key to this was the decision to utilise an elegant side sliding sectional garage door by Rundum Meir. The door’s manufacture in Siberian Larch ensures consistency with property’s other timber cladding elements which perfectly complement the Caithness stone masonry. Fully automated for ease of opening and closing, the garage door operates with the smoothness and reliability that reflects the level of quality which runs through the whole building.

At the new head office of award-winning manufacturer, Sandon Global, Style worked with contractor, H Cumberbirch, and architects, 2M2 Studio, to create flexible space by installing two Dorma Hüppe Variflex moveable walls with 46dB acoustic ratings. With both walls benefiting from semi-automatic operation, the acoustic seals are always applied to exactly the right pressure, delivering exceptional privacy during meetings and events. Creating a contemporary yet highly functional feature of the walls, a combination of acoustic absorbing fabric and writeable glass was used as finishes.Style is the exclusive UK partner to Dorma Hüppe offering a complete range of solid and glass moveable walls with manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic operation.“This is a really stylish head office for Sandon Global, and the Variflex moveable walls not only offer adaptable room space, but they also complement the interior design perfectly,” said Andy Gibson, Style’s director for the North.“The 46dB acoustics on both operable walls ensure that meetings, training sessions, workshops and other events can take place undisturbed. By incorporating a pass door between the board room and seminar area, the wall can be left in place without access issues, only opening up the whole area for occasional large-scale events. In contrast, the meeting room wall is likely to be used most days, depending on numbers.”Between the boardroom and the amphitheatre-style seminar room, writable white glass was applied on the seminar side, with a Creation Bauman Astra Fabric acoustic absorption surface in the boardroom.The moveable wall between the meeting rooms has a mix of the same acoustic absorbing fabric and writeable white glass on both sides – perfect for hosting brainstorm sessions and workshops.Sandon Global manufactures anilox rolls and cylinders used in the flexographic, lithographic and metal decoration print industries, worldwide. The new, purpose-built headquarters in Runcorn, Cheshire, provides additional capacity as well as a state-of-the art research and development function.

The high-quality health and fitness changing facilities were fitted with leisure glass lockers in the form of our leisure lockers in one compartment, two-compartment and three compartments fitted with 10mm glass-silk blue doors. We also supplied cubicles, bench seating, IPS which complemented the area. The wet side changing and dry sports changing areas were supplied with leisure lockers. Locker doors were selected from the Formica range in a mix of violet, heather and grey, red, yellow and oak, leaf green, lime and grey and tropical blue, blue and grey.

The lightwell lift includes caged, enclosed sides to secure the load and prevent the risk of anything falling from the platform onto people below. Interlocked doors were fitted to prevent any accidents whilst the goods lift is in use. Interlocks ensure that the lift will only operate whilst the doors are locked shut, opening again once the lift has travelled to the level required. This provided the team with a safe and efficient lifting solution when moving their big commercial bins from below ground to pavement level. The 500kg capacity allows deliveries to be taken from kerbside to the basement.

Co-extruded UV protection cuts out 98% of harmful radiation reducing the effects of weathering and tinted options allow solar control.Engineered for use in roof light and side-light applications, it has a 10 year light transmission and a 3 year weather breakage warranty due to its strength and impact resistant design.Technical support was provided from design right through to installation. Since the stadium is an oval shape, each sheet of the polycarbonate had to be cut to fit exactly. Spearheading an ambitious programme of regeneration, Canada Water Library resembles an inverted ‘ziggurat’ – a terraced pyramid of successively receding storeys – that partly overhangs the Canada Water basin.The £1.4m building sits at the edge of a civic plaza and a stretch of open water. The expanding pyramid form integrates a compact footprint at ground level with progressively wider floors above. The building is clad in light bronze anodised aluminium panels with sequined perforations, interspersed with recessed curtain wall screens. This design gives the project a sculptural appeal and a striking visual effect.Finished in bronze anodised aluminium, the structural sealant glazed facade and commercial doors were specified for the ground floor. A Visible Grid Facade has being used for the strips of curtain walling to the three upper floors, with top hung concealed vents and aluminiumdoors providing access to the balconies.The library forms part of the vibrant quayside at Canada Water - a historic Docklands that was once a bustling port. It was designed to exemplify the importance of the library, education and community facilities for local people and focus on the new phase of regeneration.

Helmsman’s most recent project was for a company we have enjoyed working with in the past. McCormick are a global leader in flavour, with Schwartz, Franks RedHot and French’s just a selection of their well known brands. Back in 2021, we manufactured and installed a variety of lockers in their new Cambridge facilities, from garment collectors, garment dispensers through to office and visitor lockers.This year we had the pleasure of working with McCormick again for their UK HQ in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire. The client requested lockers for their staff members and so Helmsman supplied and installed 164 mild steel, 1 compartment lockers with sloping tops and stands. The colour scheme was kept bright but professional, with a selection of colours including standard “Ice” coloured body with blue, red and yellow doors.Helmsman’s Essential Metal Lockers are manufactured from mild steel, and powder coated in our factory with our new paint booth. There are a variety of colour options, with those chosen by McCormick being Royale (blue), Cherry (red) and Yellow. The lockers were finished with Lowe and Fletcher Camlocks, a simple, secure and easy to use option, perfect for the lockers required.In addition to the lockers, Helmsman also supplied bench seating for McCormick’s Haddenham HQ. We produced 10 double sided benches, with coat hooks and Ash Hardwood seating slats.The lockers and benches really do look fantastic at McCormick’s Haddenham HQ. It was great to work with McCormick again and we hope to help them with any locker, cubicle or bench seating requirements they have in the future.

Union Industries is helping a growing Berkshire manufacturer to keep its new facility extension properly segregated.Union Industries designed, manufactured and installed a Picadoor and two Static Fabric Industrial Partitions to create a 3-Sided static enclosure. The Picadoor, which was originally created as a bespoke product for an existing customer, is one of Union Industries’ smaller, lighter weight, fast acting doors and helps to maintain temperatures and reduce energy consumption in small internal applications. The door has a variable speed motor, inverter system inside the panel for controllability and is ideal for small internal doorways where regular access is required, but environmental conditions also need to be maintained.
