A residential building in Salford required seating that was durable, within budget and suited the project's overall quality. Artform Urban were asked to supply affordable and robust seating to be installed throughout the new building. After many conversations with the contractor and the architect, The FGP Bench was chosen. Being the perfect size for installing on site and maintained the project quality. With a solutions based approach from Artform Urban, the landscape element of this project was able to remain within the planned budget, without compromising on quality.

Dalton Retail Outlet Park in the North East was modernised in order to create a premium shopping destination. Contemporary external landscaping as well as lighting, bespoke planters, seating and signage were to be part of the planned renovations. Product suggestions made by the Artform team offered a consistent design and complemented the original brief, whilst offering a robust durable result and a cost effective solution. The Stone Bench, Treeline bench, FGP seats and FGP Litter Bins were chosen to suit the overall project theme.

F. Ball smoothing underlayment and adhesives have played starring roles in the installation of floorcoverings as part of the major refurbishment and extension of one of Scotland’s busiest theatres, Eden Court at Inverness. Flooring contractor Jack Carmichael (Flooring) Ltd of Elgin, were responsible for the installation of floorcoverings throughout the project. This involved a basement cinema, the main 850 seat auditorium, a second 250 seat theatre, a bar and restaurant, box office, foyer bar and dance studio and associated dressing rooms and toilets...

As part of a £1.7m investment, Loughborough University recently remodelled Quorn Hall into an impressive 560-seat lecture theatre. Adding functionality to the new facility, Style was contracted to install a 57dB Dorma Hüppe Variflex ComfortDrive moveable wall system with fully automatic operation, allowing the vast space to be divided into two separate areas. A complex project, Style was specified by Core Architects to design a system that not only accommodated the exceptionally high ceiling but that also incorporated the stepped-rise of the seating.

Sitting opposite the former BBC Television Centre and adjacent to Westfield Shopping Centre, this exciting new development includes 10.4 acres of open space in the form of a new public park for White City, 1500 new homes including affordable housing and commercial premises. The Outdoor Deck Company were specified to install FSC Iroko timber tiered seating to create an external relaxation area on the Buzon pedestal system along with composite seating and stage decks across the external public areas.

The Townscape Unity range is designed to enhance and transform any urban space while maintaining functionality. The seating and planters are robust yet easy to move if or when necessary. The products used here were the Unity 1250 seat with deck top and the Unity 1250 planter in a Yorkstone buff finish.The landscaping upgrade was prepared as part of the Towns preparation for The Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The main theme is based on the idea of Tudor plants, particularly those with medicinal properties. Tudor gardens were designed to provide food, medicine, and a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The herbs that have been planted near the Wolsey statue are some of the medieval healing herbs thought to have beneficial properties for the lungs, heart, digestion, and headache.

The specification of the 78 bespoke Laminate Z Lockers was 1650mm high, 384mm wide, and 450mm deep. Laminate Z Locker was installed with seat stands allowing the employees to sit whilst changing shoes rather than having to balance whilst standing. Sloping tops were added to Z Lockers, which is a great feature as it keeps dust from building up and prevents anything from being stored on top of the lockers. Furthermore, bench seating was requested for in ‘Country Oak’ for a dry area that is perfect for an atmosphere free of moisture and humidity.Our customers requested the laminate doors to be in ‘Country Oak’ whereas the carcass of the lockers was powder coated in ‘Black’ in the Helmsman colour range. The seats were Helmsman Ash Hardwood, and the stands were powder coated in ‘Black’ to blend with the lockers. Bespoke laminate Z lockers were finished with oval laminated number plates and Camlocks are an excellent choice as it assures the employees that their personal belongings are safe and secure.

Smart new seating has been installed across a city centre to make it more welcoming to all visitors.

Nine Elms Point is a new apartment complex in London. A part of the project was to offer a green space of landscaped gardens for residents, to enhance the community feel. This included many walkways which required seating. Artform were consulted regarding the supply of standard products to the residential area, which needed a bespoke feel. The award winning Multiplicity seating, with its cast aluminium support structure was suggested, as this could allow for a selection of alternate timber to be used, giving the client flexibility and confidence that it would blend with the landscape.

The University of Liverpool developed a circular paved area outside of the listed Victoria Gallery and Museum, to commemorate HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee celebrations in 2012. The area was designed to host ceremonial presentations and to be used as a break out space. Artform were required to supply circular seating that would line up with the paving and suit the overall area. The Diamante Seating Range was chosen for having a flexible design that worked with the client's initial ideas. The project made a significant improvement to the previously unused space, linking the university to the city.

Wythenshawe Hospital has implemented a £17 million development to double its available resources for patients, staff and visitors. Included was the expansion of the children's Emergency Department, with a new purpose built paediatric area, specifically designed to improve the treatment for patients up to 16 years of age. Artform Urban were asked to provide colourful, free-standing seating for a courtyard space, adjacent to the paediatric area. The Loop Arc Bench was offered as a lightweight seating solution that could be weighted down while remaining moveable if necessary.

The Main Stadium at Qian Tang river front, opposite the city’s new Central Business District, is an impressive project with a complex structure. Chosen to be the main venue of the 2022 Asian Games, the main stadium covers an area of 210,110m2. In addition tothe 80,000-seat main stadium, the project also includes 10,000-seat tennis center, aquatic center, convention center, athletic facilities and retail. In the first construction phase alone, Jotun’s Performance Coatings were meticulously specified for coating the 18,000 tons of steel in the main stadium.

We worked alongside Eos Interior Ltd, and our team manufactured and installed 34 Z lockers with bench seating. The Laminate Z lockers were wet specification which is ideal for environments that have humidity. Our Z lockers are an excellent choice as it is a small footprint but with maximized internal space.The measurements of the Z lockers were 1800mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep, along with the seat stands with the measurements of 300mm by 450mm. As we are a manufacturing company we are able to fabricate any bespoke lockers!

These are the latest secure FalcoPod bike hangars installed this month at the new Harper Collins Publishers editorial office and distribution at Robroyston in Glasgow, which is currently the largest logistics development project in Scotland.Falco manufactured, supplied and installed a series of ten secure FalcoPod Bike Hangars, a 12m FalcoQuarter waiting shelter run and a secure FalcoLok-500 refuse store.Each FalcoPod bike hangar provides secure cycle parking for up to six bikes each, providing a total of 60 secure cycle parking spaces for employee use. Each bike hangar has been supplied with instructional signage, powder coated in a Harper Collins blue RAL colour and Harper Collins branding graphics.Installed outside the main entrance, each secure bike hangar takes up no more room than a single car parking space and is capable of accommodating all types of cycles - from road and mountain bikes to bikes with a child seat on the back or storage basket on the front.A 12m waiting and smoking shelter has been installed next to the bike hangars, made up of a series of three 4m FalcoQuarter shelters, one starter section and two add-on sections. Artform Urban provide modern and stylish cantilever seating to a new Arts and Humanities facility, at the University of Liverpool. The Yoko Ono Lennon Centre is a newly built teaching and performance building, named in honour of Yoko Ono Lennon, an Honorary Graduate of the University (Hon LLD 2001), campaign ambassador and long-standing philanthropic supporter. It houses the 400 seat Tung Auditorium with space for a 70 piece orchestra, as well as a state of the art 600 seat lecture theatre. Architects and lead designers Ellis Williams worked alongside a number of acoustic and structural engineers in order to achieve optimum acoustic profile and capacity for the orchestra. Artform Urban was appointed by HA Civils to provide seating elements for the landscaped exterior space of the building. The Generation 50 Seat with cantilevered legs was specified for the project due to its minimal and contemporary design that includes a curved timber cladding that echoes that of the main entrance of the building. It is the first installation of Generation 50 in the UK. The Generation 50 range was designed by Robert Chipman and offers a flexible ensemble of style and mounting options.Available with four different cast aluminium powder-coated leg fixing options, a range of armrests and a number of timber options including ipe, jarrah, and thermally modified ash. Artform Urban provided timeless external lighting design at a newly restored care home from Signature Senior Lifestyle in North West, London. The complex restoration project combines the Grade II listed 18th Century Hendon Manor with contemporary luxury accommodation and exceptional care. The result creates a homely and familiar surrounding, designed in line with the Gold Standard Framework from Stirling University, which is specifically for those living with memory loss.The red brick building is steeped in history having been used as an RAF Convalescent Home during WW2 and once housed the England Football Team before their 1966 World Cup win. With this in mind, it was crucial that the restoration was completed to the highest standard and preserved as many original features as possible.The high standard is perpetuated throughout the building grounds which include accessible terraces, green spaces, and paths, providing a relaxing and secluded environment for residents to enjoy. It is here that Artform’s Ashbery lighting range ‘shines’ making the exterior accessible in the dark by providing ambient and inviting light. Path lights have been placed around the leafy garden along the winding paths - wall-mounted versions stand out against the red building walls - and tall pole-mounted pedestrian units line the entrance, all working together to complement the environment. The trio of Ashbery lights brings together advanced LED technology and optics, paying homage to traditional lantern-style lighting. The range, manufactured by Landscape Forms, has been developed in collaboration with Robert A.M. Stern Architects, celebrated masters of modern traditional design, and Fisher Marantz Stone, an internationally recognised award-winning lighting design agency. Hendon care home offers 102 spacious apartments with a variety of layouts, aspects and views to suit everyone. There is also a dedicated dementia care complex with 24 apartments. Amenities include a café and restaurant, private dining room, boutique cinema, pub lounge and numerous seating areas for relaxing or socialising. There is also a hair salon and spa for ensuring residents look and feel their best. Othello Hall and Activity Room provides a big flexible space for a range of activities and events, with stage and seating for up to 60 residents and guests.This was a particularly interesting and rewarding project to be involved with that has ensured the best quality of living and comfort is offered to its residents whilst also preserving an important piece of local history.

A reassuring environment has been created for patients before they even step inside hospital, with outdoor seating, planters and other improvements.

The innovative £26 million building at Edge Hill University, contains the University’s Library, Careers and Student Services, within its contemporary 8,000 square metre space. The original design included a roof terrace, which increased the outdoor space, with carefully thought out landscaping and additional seating for the Library. The FGP range, by Artform, was selected due to the co-ordinated design, including seating & litter bins. A key feature was the use of anodised aluminium frames, which offers a tough and durable finish, due to it being through coloured and not painted.

The Royal Academy of Music in Regent’s Park, London underwent a renovation but needed to ensure three qualities were met, creating stunningly beautiful, acoustically brilliant, and inspiring spaces for staff and students.The 309-seat Susie Sainsbury Theatre was completely refurbished and created the new 100-seat rooftop Angela Burgess Recital Hall.The project marked one of the most significant building and renovation projects in the Academy’s near-200-year history.To help achieve these qualities ROCKWOOL HardRock® Multi-Fix (DD) insulation board was considered and installed.

Artform Urban were approached by Illman Young Landscape Design in 2018 to discuss a range of design led street furniture elements including seating and litter bins to a brand new service station located at junction 1 of the M6 in Rugby, planned to open in 2021. The seating product selected was the Multiplicity Bench, a popular product featuring a cast aluminium leg frame with hardwood seat.The Box Wood Litter Bin featuring a Triangular Ashtray fixture was also supplied. This incredibly popular and versatile waste disposal unit can be customised with 4 different variations of door style. The Rugby Moto services opted for the hardwood timber slats version which complements the surrounding architecture and street furniture.The new MOTO services opened its doors to motorists in April 2021, the build will create 120 jobs and cost investment of £40 million. It is the UK's flagship electric vehicle charging motorway services, offering 24 rapid-charging points.

GOplastic Ltd were contacted by the Head of Estates and Campus Services Donna Vallance.The University’s requirements were for the supply of sustainable and environmentally friendly seating and tables for their London Campus buildings, based near India Dock in East London.A site meeting was agreed and proved to be extremely important for this project. The terrace had a narrow width which meant the correct size and arrangement of seating was essential.The terrace is on the 7th floor of the building, so this also needed considered planning in relation to delivery and installation.To overcome these challenges, GOplastic offered the Canvas Table and Canvas 120 benches. The Canvas bench and table are part of the Govaplast® range of award winning recycled plastic products. A distinct advantage for this project is the Canvas range can be delivered in semi kit form and easily transported to the 7th floor in the internal service lifts.Seating and tables to accommodate up to 50 people were delivered and installed in just one day.Job type: Supply and installWaste plastic prevented from landfill: 1.7 tonnes.

Project DescriptionThe capital of Austria, Vienna, is home to one of the country's most powerful structures: The parliament building from the 19th century comprises the seat of the two chambers of parliament, the National Council as well as the Federal Council of the Republic of Austria.As part of the general renovation of the historic building complex on Vienna's Ringstrasse, Lindner GmbH was involved in the construction project with numerous products and services. In addition to the repair of damage to the building fabric, the main objective was the general modernization of the property within the framework of the preservation of historical monuments. The combination of Lindner's modern hollow floor system FLOOR and more® and the historic overlay therefore met all the requirements. The historic Aberdeen Music Hall has been restored and redeveloped by Architects BDP. The Category A listed concert hall has been completely refurbished and now includes a performance studio, creative learning space and a café/bar. Nearly 1,500m2 of Junckers solid Nordic Beech Classic flooring has been fitted as part of the transformation, including in the impressive 1,300 seat auditorium, which now has step-free access to all levels. Nordic Beech with its white pigmented finish offers a light and bright backdrop to the interior and makes the most of the architects’ new architectural lighting by reflecting an abundance of light. By specifying the same floor for much of the building, the various spaces are seamlessly connected by a unifying element. At 140mm wide, Junckers’ signature wide board, long-length floor boards really come into their own in the open spaces and circulation routes, offering a clean and elegant look. Solid beech is amongst the most hard-wearing timbers used for flooring and Junckers’ pre-finished floors are well-known for their durability. The flooring contractor was West End Flooring.
