Application
Provides domestic hot water and space heating for properties that use district heating or centralized boiler plants. Gives separation to the heat network system, helping to protect and provide improved control to individual properties on the network.
Highly efficient heat transfer for use on communal heat networks or larger district heating schemes. The HIU is BESA registered, allowing users to meet CIBSE CP1 (2020) guidance and best practice methods for the design of their networks.
Description
The Greenstar HIU is a range of twin plate heat exchanger indirect heat interface units, which offer DHW flowrates of up to 15 L/min or 21 L/min. All models offer up to 15 kW to central heating and the ability to accurately control priority DHW and central heating flow temperatures in increments of 5°C.
Features and benefits:
- Greenstar HIU comes in three variants “HIU”, “HIU E” & “HIU KE”.
- The “E” and “KE” models are both BESA registered
- Model variants available with or without heat meter, DPCV and flushing bypass.
- DHW output up to 73.3 kW (21 L/min) HIU KE and 52.3 kW (15 L/min) HIU, HIU E.
- Central heating capacity of up to 15 kW.
- Electronic control valves with return temperature limiter.
- Fully insulated separate EPC inner case enclosing all major components.
- Internal DPCV options.
- All models offer both top and bottom connections.
- Optional internal keyless filling loop.
