Application

Suitable for use on a range of building projects, including traditional and contemporary. Can be used in conjunction with Western Red Cedar Cladding (specified separately).

Please note that the product will weather to a silver-grey if left untreated.

Description

PEFC™ certified Western Red Cedar (softwood) decking. Slow grown in The Pacific North West of Canada, and sourced from leading sawmills.

Features and benefits:

  • Maintenance free due to the naturally occurring compound thujaplicins, and water-soluble phenolics which act as preservatives.
  • Dimensionally stable due to its low density and low shrinkage factor; will therefore resist warping and twisting.
  • PEFC™ certified.
  • Durability class 2 according to BS EN 350-2.

Recommended fixings:

Stainless-steel decking screws should be used (natural oils in the timber have a corrosive effect on ferrous metals). Manufacturer recommends 63 mm Trimmed Head decking screws. Consult manufacturer for further details.
