Waterproofing and Tanking Solution by Visqueen

Guidance for specification option:

A waterproofing admixture used to provide Type B watertight concrete protection in accordance with BS 8102:2022. 

• Crystalline growth provides continuous protection for the lifetime of the concrete structure.
• Reduces water penetration with less permeability when compared to an equivalent plain concrete.
• Enhanced resistance to reinforcement corrosion when compared with an equivalent plain concrete.
• More durable than an equivalent plain concrete.
• Available in a tub consisting of six 4.1 kg soluble bags and used in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. one 4.1 kg bag for each 1 m³ of concrete.

Guidance for specification option:

A bituminous primer for surfaces prior to the application of membranes products.

• It improves the bond of self adhesives and torch applied damp proofing and tanking membranes and helps to ensure a long-term watertight finish.
• It will dry in 1–5 hours depending upon temperature, surface porosity and ventilation.
• Suitable for application in low temperatures.
• Highly penetrative formulation.
• Significantly improves bond of torch applied and self adhesive membranes.
• Quick and easy to apply with brush or roller.
• Supplied in 5 L tins.

• Acts as a heavy duty protection medium for Visqueen damp proofing, gas proofing and tanking membranes. In addition, when used in external tanking applications, the product forms a void to collect and transmit water into adjacent drainage outlets or collector pipes.
• Acts as a combined protection layer and drainage layer.
• Range of thicknesses available which provides options for water flow capacity.

Visqueen IGW Pipe Strap is a swellable hydrophilic polymer waterstop. Manufactured from thermoplastic synthetic rubber, the product is lightweight and highly flexible. The strap is coloured orange for ease of recognition.
