An advanced steel window introduced in the 1990s, W40 windows are suitable for larger projects such as schools and public buildings, but equally may be used in all types of property where strong, durable frames, efficient opening casements and robust fittings are required.
W40 steel window frames are suitable for metal window refurbishment projects where the pattern of the original fenestration is to be maintained. Suitable for metal window refurbishments due to the advanced strength of steel and for fulfilling the requirements for listed buildings.

Warranty descriptionSubject to our Terms and Conditions, copy available upon request. | Ten year Should any material fault appear in any window frame or door frame sold and installed by us within ten years from the date of installation because of defective materials or workmanship then:- • within the first 12 months from the date of installation, Clement Windows Ltd will (at its sole discretion) repair or replace the faulty window frame or door frame; or, • thereafter supply replacement materials free of charge. Five year Should any material fault appear in a sealed double glazed glass unit sold and installed by us within five years from the date of installation then:- • within the first 12 months from the date of installation, Clement Windows Ltd will (at its sole discretion) repair or replace the faulty materials; or, • thereafter supply replacement materials free of charge. RequirementsWindows are designed for drained and ventilated glazing on site, from inside or outside, of insulating glass units up to a maximum unit size of 26 mm, using factory finished beads and polymer rubber gasket in accordance with BS 8000 7. All opening vents are weather sealed using EDPM. In accordance with Glass & Glazing Federation best practice, Clement steel windows are factory glazed, however, our concealed fixings mean that fixed light windows need to be glazed on site after the frames have been installed. Glazing beads are made of aluminium or glass reinforced plastic (GRP).
