Description

Designed and manufactured to each individual customers requirements, the W20 series is an extremely versatile steel door section allowing bespoke design and customization for use on modern, traditional and historic buildings alike.


Features and benefits:

  • Manufactured to exceed BS 6510:2010, the specification for steel framed glazed doors.
  • Frames are protected from corrosion by being either galvanized or hot zinc sprayed to EN ISO 1461 or EN ISO 14713 (maximum thickness 250 microns).
  • Polyester powder-coated to BS EN 13438:2013 from the RAL colour range or other specialist finishes (minimum paint thickness of 60 microns).
  • The material originates from 98% recycled steel and is hot rolled in Switzerland using a patented process to ensure the sections arrive with precision accuracy. 
  • Thermal and security performances are backed up by BRFC and PAS 24 certification.

  • Approved Document C: Site Preparation and resistance to contaminants and moisture.

  • Approved Document L: Conservation of Fuel and Power.
  • Approved Document M: Access to and use of buildings.

  • W20 Steel Doors can be single glazed or fitted with 18 mm krypton filled insulated units for optimal thermal performance and 20.8 mm for maximum security.
  • Glazing practice should comply with BS 8000-7. 
  • Fabco Sanctuary Ltd offer a wet glaze system for a traditional finish or an aluminium bead for a modern contemporary aesthetic.
  • All double glazed units are designed with a 10 mm sightline spacebar that guarantees the spacebar will not interfere with the glass area.
  • As only use traditional glazing bars are used, each individual square occupies a separate glazing unit.
  • Some glazing options commonly used include, clear or satin glass, laminates, leaded lights and DGU’s.

  • Internal single and double leaf doors are fitted with a standard door handle only.
  • External single and double leaf doors are fitted with a standard door handle and surface mounted drop-bolts or if a multi-point lock or PAS 24 is specified a secure multi-point locking handle is provided only.
  • Sliding doors are fitted with both flush pull and edge pull handles.
