Electrical underfloor heating systems.
A range of electrical underfloor heating system options, including thermostats and accessories.
Underfoor heating range:
Consult technical literature for design (power output, cable length etc.) requirements depending on whether installation on new construction or renovation. Packs as well as individual components are available, consult manufacturer for details and insert requirements under 'Product reference'.
Self-regulating heating:
The cable automatically adjusts its power output long its entire length to compensate for temperature changes. This is achieved within the conductive core which is extruded over the two parallel conductors, as the temperature drops, the core contracts microscopically and the number of electrical paths through the core increases resulting in more heat being produced. Conversely the opposite occurs when the core expands and less heat is produced when the ambient temperature rises.

Constant wattage custom underfloor heating mats | Not required. RAYCHEM Custom Mat. Guidance for specification option: Custom designed, please provide an accurate drawing of the room, including full onsite dimensions, desired thermostat location and all obstructions identified. Consult manufacturer for further information. |
Constant wattage standard underfloor heating mats | T2QuickNet 90. Guidance for specification option: Delivering 90 W/m², available in a range of sizes 1-12 m² (each with 2.5 m cold lead) and capable of 33 m² maximum heating cable area (for 3000 W load) per 13 A electrical circuit.
T2QuickNet 160. Guidance for specification option: Delivering 160 W/m², available in a range of sizes 1-12 m² (each with 5 m cold lead) and capable of 18 m² maximum heating cable area (for 3000 W load) per 13 A electrical circuit.
Manufacturer guidanceComplete with two wire constant wattage cables (to ensure negligible electro-magnetic field generation), Teflon inner and LSZH outer jacket, electrical braid (to provide electrical protection) and a flat cold lead cable (to enable a lower profile installation). Pre-terminated heating cable, fixed within the mat and held in place by the matting itself and not by fixing tape (to avoid air gaps and associated potential hot spots). The overall thickness shall be no more than 3 mm (including the mat base). The heating cable shall be easily detachable from the mat (to lay loose cable around obstacles). The underfloor heating mat shall be self-adhesive and PVC free. |
