Guidance for specification option:

  • Can be used to limit noise transmission between rooms, using optional dense cladding, optional internal insulation. Type 80 panels have been tested to achieve sound reduction ratings of up to Rw 55 dB, measured in accordance with EN ISO 140-3.
  • Insulation typically related to panel weight. Average achieved site insulation typically less than laboratory conditions, due to flanking structures.
  • Can be used to control room sound absorption levels using optional fabric wrapped acoustic panels, or optional perforated/ slotted sound absorbent boards.
