Application

IKO metatech is used as fully reinforced waterproofing resin in the

following liquid waterproofing systems:

  • IKO metatech Roof.
  • IKO metatech Balcony.
  • IKO metatech Car Park.

Description

A two-component coating based on methacrylates that cures after the hardener powder has been incorporated. Apart from fast curing (after only 45 minutes), it is also characterised by rapid installation, as the second layer is applied wet-on-wet to the first layer.


Also includes a two-component primer based on methacrylates for bitumen roofing membranes, plastic roofing membranes and asphalt and a reinforcement fleece consisting of non-woven polyester with a density of 110 g/m². This fleece is rolled out in the wet first layer and pressed in areas that are subject to heavy footfall. It therefore ensures the strength, stability and longevity of the system.

Guidance for specification option:

IKOpro Systems Bonding Agent (black) is a specially formulated primer. Enhancing the properties of self- adhesive bitumen roofing membranes, it promotes strong bonds even at temperatures as low as 5°C.

IKOpro Sprayfast MPP.

Guidance for specification option:

KOpro Sprayfast MPP (Black, Multipurpose Primer) is a

specially formulated high performance bonding primer.

It allows the speed of application of the bonding primer

to be five times faster than conventional bitumen primers,

promoting strong bonds at temperatures as low as

5°C. For self adhesive and torch applied bitumen membranes.

IKOpro Quick Dry Primer.

Guidance for specification option:

IKOpro Quick Dry Bitumen Primer (black) is a fast-drying bitumen priming solution for torch applied bitumen membranes.

S-A VCL (Self-Adhesive) is a high performance vapour barrier for use in adhered IKO Polymeric systems. It is composed of a polyester reinforced aluminium core, coated with a rubber modified, self-adhesive bitumen coating. The membrane is protected on the underside with a release film backing and coated on the top surface with a fine mineral finish. A selvedge of 75mm width, protected with release film, provides a quick means of completing side laps.

IKO Ultra T-O Air and Vapour Control Layer.

Torch applied to non combustible substrates only


T-O VCL (Torch-on) is a high performance vapour control layer for use in adhered IKO Polymeric systems. It comprises an impervious aluminium core, reinforced with polyester and coated with a specially formulated quick melt SBS modified bitumen. The lower surface has a sacrificial film which rapidly melts during the torching operation.

IKO enertherm MW, 60 mm thickness.

Guidance for specification option:

A dual-density stone wool insulation board. It is used for the thermal insulation in a variety of warm flat roofing system applications where a non-combustible and/ or acoustic insulation solution is required. Width: 1200 mm.

IKO enertherm MW, 120 mm thickness.

Manufacturer guidance

IKO enertherm GOLD is a 100 % CFC, HCFC or HFC-free insulation board with a rigid polyisocyanurate foam core, clad on both sides with a multi-layer gastight aluminium complex. This high-quality rooftop insulation consists of no fewer than seven layers, combined into a single complex. It is tested under extreme conditions in respect of water absorption, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and emissivity.

IKO Ultra H-A Underlay.

Guidance for specification option:

IKO Systems H-A underlays are polyester reinforced bitumen membranes used as underlays within a built up roofing system, The membranes are coated on both sides with self-adhesive bitumen SBS elastomeric coating. They have a fine mineral upper surface with a 75 mm release film selvedge to facilitate rapid installation of lap joints. Size: 1 x 16 m.

Fixing

Bonded by heat activation to primed insulation board (laps heat welded).

Guidance for specification option:

A reinforcement fleece consisting of non-woven polyester with a density of 110 g/m². This fleece is rolled out in the wet first layer of IKO metatech Detail and pressed in areas that are subject to heavy footfall. It therefore ensures the strength, stability and longevity of the system.

Keep the edges of the tin clean.


When closing the tin, place the lid and the lever lock ring in the

correct way and remove any product that might remain on the tin.
