Cement-bonded wood wool acoustic panels with a scalable three-dimensional pattern created via milled grooves.
Applicable use for walls and ceilings that require sound proofing. Suitable for conference rooms, classrooms, retail, offices, hotels and home theatres.
Troldtekt rhomb panels create a surface with a scalable three-dimensional pattern by combining rhombus-shaped acoustic panels. The sides of each panel are parallel in pairs, and all sides have a half-groove cut, resulting in a groove at the joints. If three panels are combined, they form a hexagon. In the Troldtekt rhomb hatch variant, each panel has four milled grooves that match the width of the groove formed at the joints.
Like Troldtekt rhomb, the mini version can be used to create a three-dimensional pattern. They consist of hexagon-shaped acoustic panels that are half the size of the hexagon formed by joining three classic Troldtekt rhomb panels. The three rhombuses on the hexagon panel are bounded by grooves. In the Troldtekt rhomb mini hatch variant, each rhombus will also contain four parallel grooves (12 grooves per acoustic panel). The panels have grooves cut on the edges, and by rotating the panels, the pattern can be varied so that the three-dimensional effect is even more pronounced.
Troldtekt are cement-bonded wood wool panels made from wood and cement. The product is made of spruce shredded into wood wool and mixed with cement. The wood used in the production of Troldtekt is from sustainable forestry. Troldtekt can be surface-treated but is often used unprocessed (natural wood and grey natural). Due to the nature of the material, colour variations may occur. These colour variations are most evident in the grey panels, where the cement is 100% responsible for the grey Troldtekt look. Among the factors affecting colour variations are water/ cement ratio, water content of the wood, drying rate, steam curing and curing moisture.
Standards/ approvals:
A wide range of structures with Troldtekt Acoustics have been tested and certified for use as ceiling and wall cladding in sports facilities in accordance with 'Requirements and testing of ball impact safety, DIN 18032-3, sports facilities'. BS EN 13964 also includes ball impact certification as a parameter, and Troldtekt is classified as Class 1A.
