Cement-bonded wood wool acoustic panels.
Applicable use for walls and ceilings that require sound proofing and fire protection. Suitable for conference rooms, hotels and home theaters.
Troldtekt are cement-bonded wood wool panels made from wood and cement. The product is made of spruce shredded into wood wool and mixed with cement. The wood used in the production of Troldtekt is from sustainable forestry. Troldtekt can be surface-treated, but is often used unprocessed (natural wood and grey natural). Due to the nature of the material, colour variations may occur. These colour variations are most evident in the grey panels, where the cement is 100% responsible for the grey Troldtekt look. Among the factors affecting colour variations are water/ cement ratio, water content of the wood, drying rate, steam curing and curing moisture.
Standards/ approvals:
A wide range of structures with Troldtekt Acoustics have been tested and certified for use as ceiling and wall cladding in sports facilities in accordance with 'Requirements and testing of ball impact safety, DIN 18032-3, sports facilities'. BS EN 13964 also includes ball impact certification as a parameter, and Troldtekt is classified as Class 1A.

Recyclability | Thanks to our Cradle to Cradle certification, the substances which are used to make Troldtekt acoustic panels are well-defined. An independent assessor has analysed Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool in detail (100 ppm), and we therefore have documentation that Troldtekt production waste can safely be returned to the natural cycle as a soil improver. |
