Description

Torino is a fence with an exclusive and unusual arrangement of closely spaced transverse bars that combines a striking visual presence with good through-visibility and also provides a good level of security.

Different panel types are available which offer alternative spacings between the horizontal flat bars at 11, 22, 33 or 44 mm centres.

Vertical flat bars: 25 x 2 mm. Horizontal flat transverse bars: 10 x 2 mm.

Single leaf, double leaf, pivot, cantilevered or sliding gates are manufactured to match with Torino infill panels.

Grating fences are supplied in accordance with BS 1722-14.

Panels and posts can be supplied galvanized only or galvanized and powder coated to any RAL colour.

Standard product features

Material:

Carbon steel S235JR.

Fixing:

The panels are framed top and bottom with 25 x 2 mm flat bars. This framing bar is manufactured to form fixing lugs for a bolted panel-to-post connection. A fence height of 1991 mm has an additional intermediate fixing.

Orientation:

  • Fences are designed with the flat horizontal transverse bars set to the outside of the enclosed area.
  • Installation:
  • Fastenings: Panels fixed to posts with M10 x 30 mm stainless steel bolts with domed heads and snap-off security nuts, all stainless steel grade A2..
  • Groundwork: Refer to BS 1722 giving consideration to existing ground conditions. Posts to be set in holes 300 to 400 mm square in plan and between 550 and 700 mm in depth, depending on fence height. Holes should be completely filled to a minimum of 50 mm below ground level with concrete mix (minimum strength of C20).
  • Height from ground: Panels to sit 100 mm (maximum) off the ground.
  • Changes in level: Fence panels stepped to 150 mm (maximum) on standard length post. Post centres to be reduced for steeper gradients (between 1:20 and 1:7).
  • Changes in direction: 50 x 50, 60 x 60, 80 x 80 mm SHS or RSA for 90 degree corner post. Two flat bar posts for other angles.
