45 or 60 mm thermally insulated, fully drained dry/ pressure glazed curtain walling system suitable for non-fire, fire integrity only or fire integrity and insulation applications.
Application
- Non fire rated and fire rated up to EI90 (Thermfix Vario):
- Suitable for all curtain walling requirements both internally for screens and atria and externally for screens/staircases and building facades. Can be either non-fire rated or fire rated for integrity and/or insulation up to EI90.
- Complies with BS 476 or BS EN 1634.
- Can incorporate non fire rated flush fitting windows, non fire and fire integrity and or insulation single doors, double doors or double acting doorsets.
Description
Thermfix Vario is a thermally insulated mullion and transom construction, fabricated by a welded and/or slotted arrangement, determined by various factors including size, application and use.
The system weatherproofing is fitted to the steel parts of the construction, with the glass or panels fitted onto stainless steel retainers in pre-selected segments. The stainless pressure bar including system weatherproofing will be fitted on the outside by means of stainless steel locking screws in conjunction with spacers guarantee a controlled locking pressure for the system weatherproofing.
Benefits:
- Specifically designed for sloped glazing applications, and has a glass/infill thickness of between 30–37 mm.
- Thermfix Vario has a face width of either 45 or 60 mm, with various profile box depths of between 50–150 mm depending on the size and application of the curtain wall.
- Glazing thickness ranges from 6–60 mm, with the glass/panels held by glazing pads and the pressure gaskets.
- Various external capping options from material choice and visual profile are available.
Applications:
- Non fire rated and fire rated up to EI90 (Thermfix Vario):
- Suitable for all curtain walling requirements both internally for screens and atria and externally for screens/staircases and building facades. Can be either non-fire rated or fire rated for integrity and/or insulation up to EI90.
- Complies with BS 476 or BS EN 1634.
- Can incorporate non fire rated flush fitting windows, non fire and fire integrity and or insulation single doors, double doors or double acting doorsets.
- Sloped non fire rated (Thermfix Vario SV):
- For sloped roof applications (15–60° from the horizontal) Thermfix Vario SV should be specified, this system allows the inclusion of manual or automatic opening roof vents and can be used in conjunction with normal Thermfix Vario vertical applications.
- Not suitable for use in fire rated applications.
