Aluminium framing system with no thermal break.
A flush glazed system designed to offer a range of solutions that can be used individually or in conjunction with Metal Technology System 10 doors. The basic suite of profiles allows for both single and double glazed configurations. The system does not feature a thermal break.
Profiles are extruded from aluminium alloy (6063 T6, T5 or T4 to BS EN 12020-2/ BS 755-9). Structural profiles are designed so that the maximum deflection of any member will not exceed 1/175 of its span, with no evidence of permanent deformation once the load has been removed.
All frame members are square cut, and are securely fixed with stainless steel screws.
The system incorporates an integral, mullion based, internal drainage system.
With suitable glazing, the system can contribute to meeting the requirements of Building Regulations for conservation of heat and power. Consult Metal Technology for recommendations and details.

The system can accommodate single glazing up to 11 mm thick and insulating glass units 24 mm thick, and is site glazed with external beading.
Panes are ‘shuffle glazed’ into glazing pockets on three sides, with an external, ‘snap in’, extruded aluminium bead at the sill. The glass is secured using colour coded, co-extruded PVC nitrile ‘wedge’ gaskets internally and externally.
