SunGuard® eXtraSelective - SNX 50/23
Application

  • Curtain walling.
  • Window systems.
  • Spandrels.
  • Conservatory walls and roofs.

Description

Produced on ExtraClear Float glass, SunGuard® SuperNeutral and eXtra Selective is manufactured by applying extremely thin, multiple layers of metals and metal oxides onto a glass substrate. The SunGuard® SuperNeutral and eXtra Selective ranges consists of neutral coated glass products that have been specifically designed to reflect the maximum amount of heat, whilst providing the highest level of light transmission in combination with excellent thermal insulation. They deliver energy efficiency that meets or exceeds energy regulation requirements.

Further processing:

  • Cut to size.
  • Toughening.
  • Bending.
  • Laminating.
  • Heat soaking.
  • Heat strengthening.
  • Screen-printing.
  • Manufacture into suitable double or triple glass insulating units.

Benefits:

  • Smart: High selectivity; transmits the maximum amount of natural light whilst reflecting infrared radiation to minimise solar energy transmission.
  • Multifunctional: Excellent solar control and thermal insulation with high light transmission combined in one coating. No need to use a Low E inner pane with this product.
  • Attractive: Pleasant, neutral appearance when viewed in reflection or transmission. Produced on ExtraClear™ glass.
  • Valuable: Heat treatable version allows for short lead times.
  • Cost efficient in both winter (thermal insulation) and summer (solar heat rejection) for an outstanding continuous return on investment.
  • Helps to control the energy balance in buildings.
  • Controls glare from the sun.
  • Restricts solar gain increasing the useable areas inside buildings.

Applications:

  • Curtain walling.
  • Window systems.
  • Spandrels.
  • Conservatory walls and roofs.

Standards:

Guardian Europe has ISO 9001 accreditation for the manufacture of float glass at all of its European based float glass plants. Guardian low-emissivity coated glass complies with the requirements of EN 1096-4: 'Glass in Building – Coated Glass'. Guardian also has ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard.
