Application

Solid brass stair rods with turned finials or ends are cut to the required sizes then machine-turned with choice of finial. These stair rods are supplied with two matching hinged fixing eyes per stair rod and designed to be fitted as a decorative finish to any stairs in both commercial and domestic applications.

Description

Stair Rods are made to customer supplied sizes and are hand lathe-turned prior to polishing and finishing. Rods over three metres in length are made in more than one piece with a joining detail. A range of diameters are available, plus 22 mm faced triangular rods.

  • A choice of finials are available on all rods (note that not all finials are available on all rods).
  •  All rods are supplied with two hinged fixing eyes per rod.
  • Plain fixing eyes may be available to suit 12.5 mm diameter rods upon special request. 
  • Supplied in sizes to suit rod diameters or triangular.

Manufacturer guidance

  • Fix eyes into tread riser directly alongside the edge of the carpet runner leaving a gap of approximately 3mm (1/8").
  • For concrete stairs use rawl plugs for screw fixings.
  • When fixing to timber stair, direct screw into tread and riser. Note, if wood is particularly hard, it may be required to pilot drill before fixing with screws.
  • Stair rods are for aesthetic purposes only. Always use wooden gripper to fully secure carpet on stairs.
