STADIP SILENCE®

Laminated glass which provides safety, security and acoustic performance. Consists of two or more leaves of glass, bonded by a PVB interlayer. If the glass breaks, the fragments of glass are held together by the PVB interlayer. In fully framed installations, the broken glass retains a residual strength whilst awaiting replacement.

Provides a range of benefits when combined with other Saint-Gobain Glass products including thermal comfort, noise reduction, UV protection, improved safety and security.

Features and benefits:

• Provides protection against injury by preventing dangerous breakage of glass; often mandatory in public buildings, such as schools and hospitals.
• Can be specified for overhead glazing, full height glazing and balustrading, as it provides impact resistance and can safely, retain the object which caused the glass to break. Please refer to Building Regulations for guidance.
• Can be used in external façades to reduce noise from outside in commercial or residential buildings, and can be used in internal partitions in offices and open plan work spaces, to help reduce noise levels.
• By varying the number and/ or thickness of each of the components within the laminate, STADIP® delivers on safety (e.g 1B1 or 2B2) and security (e.g. P2A-P5A), based on the glazing specification required.
• Can be combined with many coated glass products where laminated applications are required to enhance the benefits of Saint-Gobain Glass’ range of high performance glass products.
