Speed Cushion

Speed cushions are a type of road hump, acting as a speed calming measure in mostly residential areas, rail zones and educational spaces. Marshalls offers two speed cushion designs with differing characteristics to different levels. Two types of speed cushions: Plateau and Domed. The main difference is on the top and the variety of gradients of slopes, both depending on vehicle speeds in the area.

In addition to the general Highway Regulations 1999, both types of cushions comply with the Traffic Advisory Leaflets TAL 4/94, 11/94, 7/93 and 7/96. They are also compliant with Local Transport Note LTN 01/07 and 01/08. Low cost maintenance, easy installation and one piece structural unit reduces whole life costs. Colours may vary subject to manufacturing conditions.
