Please note that it is important not to use moisture resistant plasterboard as this can cause staining of wet applied products. Oil based stain barrier paints can be used to prevent this. Please consult Oscar Acoustics for more information.

A minimum of 12.5mm thick plasterboard, installed to British Gypsum specification should be used.

A deliberately industrial, coarsely textured, seamless spray applied acoustic spray finish for reverberation control.

Coarse textured compressible surface coating. Naturally safe recycled cellulose fibre with low embodied energy. Can be disposed of as non-hazardous waste.

Fire rating:

B-s1,d0 & Class 0 to BS476 - significantly betters the requirements of the new Approved Document B providing little to no smoke and absolutely no droplets, assisting in the safe escape of occupants.

Flangeless fittings:

90% of flangeless fittings do not work properly with any acoustic finish. If you are specifying a flangless fitting, please contact Oscar Acoustics for advice.

Sound absorption:

Acoustic testing has been carried out against concrete. Substrates likely to provide increased performance include plasterboard with the use of an air gap behind, rib deck or profiled metal sheet. Please contact Oscar Acoustics’ technical department for free design assistance.
