Smart Relays

The LP82 Lightwave Smart Relay with Open/Stop/Close is a versatile device that allows for the remote control of volts free or mains electrical circuits (max 500W load). As a result, automatic curtain openers, doors, gates and lighting circuits can all be controlled via the Lightwave App. Each relay can also be voice-controlled using Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. It is a very useful way of controlling LED strip lighting. This can act as part of a wider lighting scene in conjunction with Lightwave Smart Sockets and Dimmers which can be triggered by a single button press or the app. It can also be situated outdoors by utilizing the Lightwave LW824 Waterproof Housing. This allows it to control outdoor features such as garden lighting, pond pumps, or automatic gate openers.

The LP81 Lightwave Smart Relay with Switch Sense can trigger Lightwave and third-party automations from these non-smart devices:

• Standard light switch
• Smoke detector
• Heat sensor
• Wired motion sensor
• Pull-cord switch in bathrooms
• Legacy control systems
• Diverter valve position

The switched circuit can be mains powered or volts free (low voltage). Mains power can also be taken from the Relay itself to power the circuit (see wiring instructions for more information).

 Switch Sense Input must be used for 230V AC mains power and must be treated as mains voltage at all times. If using the LP81 with any input below 230v, the peripheral device is at risk.

The LP83 Lightwave Smart Relay (3-gang) allows for the remote control of three separate mains electrical circuits (max 3500 W total load), and introduces energy monitoring to the range of Lightwave smart relays. Each circuit can be controlled independently via the Lightwave App and Link Plus hub. It is a very useful way of controlling LED strip lighting. This can act as part of a wider lighting scene in conjunction with Lightwave Smart Sockets and Dimmers which can be triggered by a single button press, in the app or through voice command. It can also be situated outdoors by utilizing the Lightwave LW823 Waterproof Housing. This allows it to control outdoor features such as garden lighting features and pond pumps.
