SL 67 Folding System
Sliding/ folding wood panels with ventilated aluminium cladding on the outside.
A composite wood/ aluminium system consisting of top hung or bottom running (standard) sliding/ folding panels. Panels are triple-laminated wood construction – available in a variety of timbers – with ventilated aluminium cladding on the outside.
Applications include balcony fenestration, conservatories, shop fronts, swimming pool enclosures, terrace glazing, residential and commercial façades.
Available with inward or outward opening (bifold) panels. An entry/ exit door with separate operation can be integrated, and tilt-turn panels can be integrated within door elements.
The SL 67 folding system can be combined with other fixed and tilt-turn elements.
The design of the external ventilated aluminium cladding follows the guidelines for aluminium/ wood windows of the Institute for Window Technology e.V., Rosenheim.
Performance:
- Air permeability to DIN EN 12 207: Class 3.
- Climatic stress to DIN 18 055: Group C.
- Water tightness to EN 12 208: Class 9A.

| Product Options | Product reference: SL 67u (Standard system): A bottom running system with stainless steel rails. Floor mounted running gear has four stainless steel rollers with a loading capacity of 200 kg. Uses top track 5-66-08-x. SL 67o: A top mounted system. Top-mounted running gear units have four universally jointed (cardanic) rollers for even load spread. Bearings run quietly on a sealed, heat and cold resistant running surface of glass fibre reinforced polyamide. The 200 kg capacity trolleys are height adjustable. Uses top track 5-66-05-x. Size: Panel sizes are restricted in height and width according to the type of glass used and running gear: Bottom running:
Top hung:
Maximum panel weight: 70 kg. Insulating glass units (2 x 4 mm) require a glass-dividing rung starting from a height of 2550 mm. Special sizes are available on request. Refer to technical literature for panel size diagrams. Material: Exterior frame/ sash cladding: Aluminium.
Interior frame/ sash section: Wood – available in three standard species. Consult Solarlux for availability of alternative species.
Glazing details: Standard glazing: Insulated glazing units with 2 x 4 mm float glass (k glass). Glass upgrade from 24 mm to 30 mm (maximum) possible. Special glazing is available on request. Dry glazed with flush sills to allow for trouble-free pane replacement at a later date. Track and running gear: Running and guide rails are flush-mounted into the system. Height tolerances and expansion are allowed for in the design to prevent operational faults and ensure weathertightness. The bottom rail is available with or without a threshold and can, as an option, be set into the floor. The design without threshold is available for shop fronts or for ‘barrier-free dwellings’ in compliance with DIN 18 025. Aluminium track for top-hung applications can be EURAS eloxal coated in one of two colours. Ironmongery/ Accessories: All fittings are corrosion-free and concealed within the profiles. Low-maintenance, low-rattle, rustproof fittings ensure stability of the system. Panels are latched and unlatched by means of internal flat handles with 180° rotation; lockable handles optional. Handles available in four RAL colours as standard – other finishes available on request. Aluminium locking bars with minimum 24 mm travel, act on the top and bottom track; bar ends are fitted with polyamide caps to prevent metal to metal contact. Hinges are finished in EURAS eloxal colours. Standard ironmongery for entry/ exit door: handle inside and outside; three point locking handle and cylinder available as an option. Fasteners are width-adjustable for optimum adjustment of the folding system and equipped with secured hinges to hinder break-ins. |
