Transparent balcony glazing system consisting of independently moveable panels.
Transparent balcony glazing system consisting of independently moveable panels with tempered safety glass in a non-insulated, aluminium framed system. Applications include balcony fenestration, conservatories, swimming pool enclosures, terrace glazing and residential façades.
The panels are held at top and bottom in aluminium profiles by a combination of concealed clips and adhesive. At least one panel functions as a door, the remaining panels are slid individually to the opening spot, where they automatically snap into place and can then be opened by turning.
The doors interlock by concealed upper and lower plastic locking mechanisms, which operate by a filigree steel cable on the inner side of the system. Low-maintenance, low-rattle, rustproof and foolproof fittings concealed within the profiles ensure system stability.
The frame width can be adjusted by ±15 mm on each side during installation.
The SL 25 Framed Slide-Swing system can be combined with the parapet, fixed and tilt-turn elements of the SL 45 system.

Sealing, drainage and ventilation:
Brush seals with flexible plastic edging are fitted to upper and lower horizontal edges. The system is sealed and drained to prevent moisture build-up. Permanent ventilation is provided by means of a jamb gap, which is detailed to give protection against driving rain.
Panel sizes are restricted in height and width according to the type of glass used:
Refer to technical literature for panel size diagram.
The maximum number of panels at an opening depends on panel width. It is possible to increase the panel width or plan another opening position at the opposite side of the element - customised solutions are available on request.
Frame can be powder coated in a range of RAL colours, or finished in EURAS eloxal colours. Consult Solarlux for availability of finishes and to obtain samples.
6 mm or 8 mm tempered safety glass, complying with DIN 1249. All panels have polished edges and are put through a heat-bearing test in accordance with DIN 18516-4. Special glazing is available on request.
Track system and running gear:
Top-mounted, ball-bearing running carriages have noise-inhibiting plastic surfaces and can be manoeuvred at any angle between 90° and 180°. The upper rail height can be adjusted, after assembly, using a height adjustment profile without need to dismantle fittings or element frames. Consult Solarlux for recommendations and details.
Height tolerances and expansion are allowed for in the design to prevent operational faults and to ensure weathertightness.
Supplied with standard ironmongery. The system can incorporate a cylinder lock for security and safety.
