Roof glazing applications, to be used in conjunction with Skyline patent glazing.

Description

Self-supporting skylight with slim, external extruded aluminium capping.

Features and benefits:

  • Available with a choice of two cosmetic outer snap-on cappings which conceal all fixing screws, and an external snap-on capping to allow for design flexibility.
  • Can be combined with opening vents to offer a complete glazing solution.
  • Can span 1–30 panes in length and 1–10 panes in width - consult manufacturer for details.
  • Incorporates an extruded aluminium structural ridge, hip and sill members and 16 gauge aluminium insulated flashings to ridge or apex, hip/ verge and sill positions.
  • Manufactured in accordance with BS 5516: 2004 Code of Practice for the design and installation of vertical and sloping patent glazing.

The raised upstand kerb should be 100 mm wide (minimum).

Glazing bar:

Colour/ Finish:

Polyester powder-coated to BS 6496.

Glazing infill:

A variety is available, e.g. clear laminated, heat soaked toughened, etc. Consult manufacturer's literature for information. When 28 mm thick double glazed units are used, a centre pane thermal transmittance (U-Value) of at least 1.15 W/m²K can be achieved.
