Sika® Liquid Applied Membrane (Warm Roof System and Ballast with Sikalastic® -625 BMS)

A high performance polyurethane roof waterproofing system. Sikalastic®-625 BMS is a 1-part polyurethane,

reinforced, cold-applied liquid membrane. It provides a flexible, seamless waterproofing solution using Sika's unique i-Cure technology and selected sustainable raw materials derived from renewable sources, thereby reducing the product's carbon footprint.

System includes:

• Surface Finish: Minimum 50 mm thick concrete paving slabs (by others) / Minimum 50 mm thick 20-40 mm well-rounded river washed stone ballast / Timber decking (by others)

- Protection layer:

S-Felt T-300 is a separation, levelling and protection layer made of polyester (PES).

-Waterproofing (top coat):

Sikalastic®-625 BMS is a cold-applied, one component, seamless, good elastic, UV stable and moisture-triggered polyurethane membrane with significantly reduced odour. It cures to form a seamless, durable and weather-resistant waterproofing solution for ballasted roof areas.

-Waterproofing (reinforcement):

Sika® Reemat Premium is a glass fibre mat reinforcement for Sikalastic® -625 BMS and Sikalastic® Liquid Applied Membrane systems.

-Waterproofing (base coat):

One-part low odour polyurethane liquid applied base coat for use in conjunction with Sikalastic® -625 BMS systems.

-Carrier Layer:

• S-Vap 5000E SA is a multi-layer self-adhesive vapour control layer made of polymer modified bitumen with a glass-fibre mat reinforcement and an aluminium foil as top layer.

- Insulation:

Sikatherm® PIR GT/Tapered is an insulation board for flat roofing. It is faced on both sides with a coated glass tissue bonded to the insulation core and produces a tough, durable, light weight insulation board.

Sikatherm® MW DD/Tapered is an insulation board, faced with a mineral fibre tissue, bonded to the insulation core during the manufacturing process. The core of Sikatherm is high performance mineral wool with a typical density of 220 kg/m³ (top layer).

- AVCL:

• SikaBit® VB SA-724 is an SBS modified bituminous, self-adhesive air vapour control layer. It is reinforced with aluminium foil and a dimensionally stable non-woven polyester inlay. The underside has a removable liner over the adhesive compound for an easy application. It can be applied to wood, metal and concrete substrates. Top surface finish: sanded bitumen. Weight:~3.0 kg/m².

• S-Vap 5000E SA is a multi-layer self-adhesive vapour control layer made of polymer modified bitumen with a glass-fibre mat reinforcement and an aluminium foil as top layer.

• SikaShield® VB P41 S 3 mm is an APP modified bituminous roofing air & vapour control layer with a thickness of 3 mm and flexible at -10 °C. It is reinforced with aluminium foil and glass fibre to provide a barrier to the passage of air and vapour. The top surface is coated with sand to improve the bond to insulation boards with cold adhesives. The underside of the product has a burn-off film for easy torch-application.

- Primer

• Primer 600: Synthetic rubber and resins based primer.
• Primer-610 Spray: Solvent-based synthetic-rubber bonding agent in a pressurized canister system.
