Description

Post-tensioning: a force is applied to create permanent stress in a structure, so that it can withstand load more efficiently or with less total deflection. In conventional post-tensioning, the load is put on steel tendons within the concrete structure, however with the Sika CarboStress® system, the advantages of the Sika CarboDur® carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) plates and post-tensioning techniques are combined to form a unique active external strengthening solution.
