Application

Suitable for use in refurbishment and new building. Able to adhere to an extensive range of common roofing substrates, SIGnature Ultra Protect is a versatile system that can be installed over *OSB3, *suitable ply, mastic asphalt, Bitumen felts, PVC single-ply, metal, concrete, PU liquid applied coatings and *tissue faced insulation.


* SIGnature Ultra Protect AVCL/Carrier Membrane should be installed as a carrier membrane over all timber-based and suitable tissue faced insulation boards substrates prior to application of the SIGnature Ultra Protect system.

Description

SIGnature Ultra Protect is a complete roof waterproofing system. Tried and tested polyurethane technology provides the reassurance of a long-lasting roof, further supported by the awarding of BBA certificates for systems assessed to provide a durable waterproof coating with service lives of at least 20 and 25 years. The SIGnature Ultra Protect system is able to withstand the stresses that roofs experience due to its elastomeric properties. Fast curing components, and cross-linking technology provide the professional contractor with a fast, easy to install system.

  • Two Roof Colour Options with One System: Base Coat can be either Coat A or B determined by surface colour preference, subject to BBA requirements. Both Coat A and B should be used to complete the installation to ensure full coverage rates are achieved.

Guidance for specification option:

SIGnature Ultra Protect AVCL/Carrier Membrane Primer is a fast-curing synthetic rubber-based primer, specifically designed for fast bonding of SIGnature Ultra Protect AVCL/Carrier membrane to OSB3, Suitable Ply, and Tissue Faced Insulation Boards. Application testing indicates it can be up to 5 times faster to apply than roller applied primer, with cure times of just 5—10 minutes at 5°C.

  • Material: Synthetic rubber.

SIGnature Ultra Protect Epoxy Metal Primer.

Guidance for specification option:

High-performance primer designed to optimize adhesion of SIGnature Ultra Protect Liquid Waterproofing to a range of metal substrates. SIGnature Ultra Protect Epoxy Metal Primer provides excellent adhesion to steel, galvanized steel and non-ferrous metals. SIGnature Ultra Protect Epoxy Metal Primer requires no specialist tools and is simply applied to the surface with a brush or roller.

  • Material: Synthetic rubber.

It can reduce project time due to its fast-drying characteristics and simple application method. SIGnature Ultra Protect Fast-Cure Multipurpose Primer requires no specialist tools and is simply applied to the surface with a brush or roller.

  • Material: Polyurethane.
  • Appearance: Brown.
  • Application temperature: 5—30°C.
  • Temperature Resistance Range: -30—140°C.
  • Cure time at 20°C: 90 minutes.


SIGnature Ultra Protect Fast-Cure Reactivation Primer.

Guidance for specification option:

SIGnature Ultra Protect Fast-Cure Reactivation Primer is a fast-curing PU primer, specifically designed to reactivate existing PU liquid coatings. It can be applied to surfaces already coated with the SIGnature Ultra Protect Liquid Waterproofing System if the standard over-coating window has been exceeded. It can enable the repair of roof damage or for the application of further coats on multi-layer systems. SIGnature Ultra Protect Fast-Cure Reactivation Primer is easy to apply with a brush or roller due to its low viscosity and provides excellent coverage rates.

This enables aged PVC membranes to be directly overlaid, reducing project costs and reducing re-roofing timeframes. SIGnature Ultra Protect Fast-Drying PVC Primer has a fast cure time and is simple to apply with a brush or roller.
