Application

Siderise Open State Cassette Inserts (OSCI) are designed for use in Cassette Panel Cladding Systems.

Siderise Open State Cassette Inserts (OSCI) can be used both horizontally and vertically as part of a cladding system. They are applied directly to the internal surface of the cassette panel to simplify the detailing and installation of adjacent cavity barriers and/or to ensure that the ventilation air gap is dimensioned within permissible limits.

Siderise Open State Cassette Inserts (OSCI) are positioned parallel and aligned centrally to Siderise 'RH' or 'RV' Cavity Barriers, taking into account the specification of the cladding system assembly. Typically, this requires consideration of the specification and configuration of the cladding panels, the positioning of the support rails or similar steelwork, and/or hook-on or bracket arrangements for panel support.


Siderise Open State Cassette Inserts (OSCI) should not be used in conjunction with cavity barriers from another manufacturer or type.

Description

Siderise Open State Cassette Inserts (OSCI) products are manufactured from strips of high density non-combustible stonewool (Class A1) with a foil-facing on two sides. One side has an additional high-performance modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive with strippable film.

Siderise Open State Cassette Inserts (OSCI) are available in a range of sizes and are selected according to the type and size of the corresponding Siderise Open State Cavity Barrier specification on a project basis. 


Features and benefits:

  • Siderise Open State Cassette Insert (OSCI) is tested in multiple BS 8414 & NFPA 285 System Tests.
  • Can be used in combination with either RH25 or RH50 (horizontal), or RV (vertical) cavity barriers.
  • Range of thicknesses and widths to accommodate a wide array of Cassette Panel Cladding Systems.
  • Classified A2-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1.

Only when used in combination with Siderise Cavity Barriers for Rainscreen Cladding but particular attention must be applied to the fixing system as detailed below:


• Keeping the product dry during both storage and installation

• Following the method of attaching the system detailed in our installation instructions

• Ensuring that the top and bottom of the ‘OSCI’ is sealed with lengths of Siderise RFT120

aluminium jointing tape to ensure a weather tight seal

• If appropriate to the project system and panel construction, use additional mechanical

retention
