Description

SGG Lite-Floor is a laminated safety glass designed specifically for floor panels and stair treads, comprising of three sheets of glass bonded together with one or several Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) interlayers. Should the glass break, the fragments are held in place by the PVB interlayer(s). The maximum weight per sheet of glass is 1000 kg.

Applications:

  • Glass floors, glass bridges, glass landings and glass stairs, in particular for:
  • Illumination of multi-storey rooms.
  • Multi-dimensional room ambience.
  • Adventure-architecture; involving the end-user through emotional challenges.

Advantages:

  • Transparent floor panels can allow light to enter the area below.
  • Stability in the event of breakage; glass fragments are held together should the glass break.
  • Protection against injury; fragments are bonded to the interlayer, avoiding injury risk.
  • Slip-resistant: the floor should have an anti-slip top surface to provide slip resistance when wet and dry – contact Glassolutions for advice.
